Thanks for your kind messages - cheered me up ! Have also just realised while reading other threads she didn't give me a £5 No 7 voucher for spending more than £10

Take your receipt back and point this out, it isn't on the receipt so you should get the voucher. Tell them how incompetent the SA was!

philsu play the system the right way and you cant go wrong. I work for a cat company customer service and have to deny custs certain things but they call back and second advisor might do things for them. so Next time buy items on one voucher go back pretending you forgot to buy something and hey presto no one can complain.
I got the photo vouchers 2x £2 off and I will do that :D

btw dont look into it boots is not that good with customers I dont think when was the last time you managed to get a sample of a perfume?

philsu dont let her put you off.

philsu thats terrible the way you were treated. why not go back and take a friend with you for support if you dont feel strong enough to do it on your own and complain to the manager even mention that the other SA was willing to speak up for you and complain about her colleaugue, as the fact that she was going to do that suggest s that the one you got is a right old meannie.

I've had no problem with this offer until yesterday when I got a bit of a jobsworth who rang everything through and said Oh you're getting these for nothing, oh Boots will have to put a stop to this!

When I asked her if this was a company decison from Boots head office or just her own personal opinion she didn't said another word.
  • Not sure if this had been mentioned or not:

Today I bought T&G Serum £8.99 and Wax £7.99 on offer at 2 for £7.

Used the voucher out of the back of the yellow 'Change One Thing' book for £1.50 off each item = £3 off, making it both items for £4 plus AC points.

    Bargain!

Really upset in Boots today, 1st time tried to get DR stuff & forgot about doing 2 diff transactions, had bought quite a bit , gave SA 2 vouchers for DR & 1 No 7 voucher, she put eveything through then said you can only use 1 of them, asked if she could take off 2 DR's & put through seperately assistant was really horrible, said was only 1 per customer, said I hadn't realised & one set for mum (true) she said she couldn't so said I didn't want them, she tried to take off & could'nt so was getting more annoyed at me sighing loudly & shaking head, finally said would have to start all over again, all this while huge queue - soooo!! embarassed. Did sell me both lots of DR in end but I had put some more booklets on counter, she said you can't have those, I told you only 1 per customer & took them off me. I rushed out so upset then looked at receipt to see had been overcharged for something, went back in thought I would go to another SA, as I walked in SA was there talking about me!!!! Said she had all these (6) and proceeded to say things about me. I was in tears, went to another SA who was really really nice , told her what had happened & she wanted to tell manager - wouldn't let her though & said she hadn't been told only 1 per customer & had taken some for daughter day before. Sorry to go on but felt had to share this as so upset. Wonder if bargains are worth it but hey tomorrows another day!

There's always a jobsworth in every company, you happened to get a power crazy gossiping bag! Look out for young male SA where possible they generally seem to be more easy going. I often can walk round the store looking for a friendly-ish face type SA which often works. Or if I can't find any I just make do with anyone and hope for the best really. Don't let people like her upset you, would probably make her day (probably the type! grrr).

East Kilbride has restocked both leaflets and TD products ( at the Retail Park branch) I took hubby in tonight and got 3 facial wipes. The assistant was trying to help by putting them through 3 4 2 to save me money! I told her if she did that I would have to pay something , whereas putting them all through seperatley I would get them all free. She has put through loads of these for other customers but didnt know where they were getting the vouchers from - I gave her a bundle from the display - she was delighted!!

Will need to go back in the morning - got loads of birthday gifts sorted out now.
No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

  • On the back of the voucher it clearly states that no employees of Boots can make use of it!! Funny that, as I gave one of mine to the really nice lad at CS who gave £90 worth of botanics massage kit for £9.00 by letting me use the voucher in the "stressed out" pamphlet £1.00 off. He seemed well chuffed as he was going to get one for is g/f.
