Where to get water softener salt?

Hi Fred Bear, glad you got some.

My Wickes (Norwich) had a near pallet full. 2 days later when I went in again, all gone. There must be a demand at such a reasonable price, but not much good if they don't even have it listed on their website.

Recently moved from London (hard water, never had a water softener) to rural Norfolk (behold - a water softener!). I've been content thus far to buy 25kg Hydrosoft bags from my local hardware store at about £8.20 a time. On-line searches lead me to believe that I won't get a significantly cheaper unit cost elsewhere - the only advantage would seem to be in getting bulk quantities delivered. Next time I'm buying locally I'll ask whethere they will offer any discount for,eg 5 bags....
