Amusing letter from desperate letting agent

I'd add a laminated sign so it says
'4 years ago this property was......'
Let By

I wouldn't want to advertise to all my neighbours and passers by that I was renting a property rather than bought it or vice versa, its letting people know your business unnecessarily and could aid with identity theft, unwanted marketing etc. Also the sign could lead to burglars thinking you're new to the house and might not have it as secure as possible yet because you've just moved in, kids could target the sign for throwing stones, graffitti, setting fire to it. There are loads of reasons I'd refuse to have it but maybe thats just me

a couple of years ago i returned form holiday to find a to let sign outside my place, but i had no intention of moving and it wasnt even from my letting agent (i have since bought the house)
i took it down and called the agent to collect the sign, and when the collected it they found i had broken it in 4 and also sawed the post into 4
i then had them knock and threaten to bill me for it, but i denied doing it and if they wanted to bill me they would require evidence for a court case, whereas i had evidence of their trespass on my property
strangely i never heard anything back0 -
just suppose they put a sign up and then someone nicked it .
wouldnt that be sad:D"Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0
