Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker

Has anyone got the 250 points from the no7 gwp to work yet - I've tried it on 3 seperate transactions and it didn't want to to scan. The SA offered to get the manager to manually add the points:eek: - said not to worry as I'd probably be buying more no7 before the expiry date and scuttled out!
I had the same problem, I didn't realise until after I had left the shop. Also with the metallic eyeliner it added the 100 points from the ACM but not the normal 8 points, so, everyone check your receipts - I went back later and got them added manually.

Can I just ask, do you gals n guys who have 'done' the boots sale before, get the goodies asap from Boxing Day onwards or wait and see when it goes to 75% off in Jan?
I'm getting rather excited at the thought of my very first Boots sale :D :j
I'd just like to make the most of my hard earned money er points ;) I mean!!!

    Hiya :)

I've only ever lived through one 75% & 90% off sale (still getting over it too lol) but I see that some of the more seasoned Bootsers have already replied. :)

I just dawdled in 3 days after the 75% sale had started (I had a fear of large stores) and bought all the wrong things at the time :o (but since used them in hampers etc). I thought I'd got a job with Boots because I ended up passing tins of biscuits to the old dears (ooh, someone will soon be passing them to me :D) and helping people who couldn't understand what percentages were all about! (I didn't mind though, it gave me the chance to see how good some bargains were ;))

So there's me saddling myself up with biscuits and gingerbread houses LOL, whilst these seasoned lot on here were getting all the No7, 17, and R&M goodies which sometimes contain points vouchers that are equivalent to the cost of the item :)

But it only took a couple of days and a lot of help from people on this thread and I was buying bargains left right and centre - most of which will be used, or have been used, for birthdays, and this coming Christmas. I break the sets up a lot though, to put into hampers, and not to let family and friends think they're actually getting something for 25% of its original price ;) What's left will go to the charity shops.

As for the 90% sale? *Thud* :rotfl: I'd read about it but never believed it would happen, but it did lol. After that I was hooked and in Boots so often that one store has promised me a camp bed in the corner :o

Sorry for the long post :o but just thinking about it makes me realise why I love this thread so much. But take notice of things like geordie_lass or valk_scot have said, (sorry, can't see all the replies yet) and you won't go far wrong :) Hth

  • Used my last pinkies on No7 gloves - unpriced on the hanging doofah, but clearly marked as £5 on the SEL on the bottom shelf that I found them on - SA overrode the till but then removed the SEL. :o

Think my family are gonna think I've totally lost the plot as they've nearly all got these gloves as part of their pressie this year!! :rotfl:
(Dad and bro excepted, for some reason I get the feeling they woudn't appreciate them!) ;)

Cambridge Bootsers: (sorry can't remember your names...:() um, by chance do you know if there's an EA stand in either 3 of the cambridge stores? I'm back in cambridge in 2 weeks will only bother going in to town if there is. :) Probably wont tbh seeing as town has the ss tills. :D I think my sister is spoilt she lives in canterbury (where they have ss tills) and our mum lives in Cambridge. Plus our village has a boots! lol.

Hiya  Cambridge City Centre (Petty Cury) is your only chance - I think there is, but Mr BTVB says he will check on Monday (no doubt I will have come up with something for him to go shopping for by then :D)
