The one and only time I attempted to make brawn, back in the late seventies, the pigs head wouldn't quite fit in my biggest pan. Its snout was sticking out over the rim of the pan. As it started to boil, the nostrils started to bubble and gunge (aka blood and snot) came out.
I never made the brawnDownshifted

At our Halloween party, we had a whole pig (young'un) roasting on a spit, over an open fire.
After the party, I cut what was left into portions and stuck them in my freezer. We will have the shoulder joint for christmas dinner :j
Anyway, I saved the head as well...but now I wonder what to do with it. The pig has been cooked through..there are no eyes or tongue left in the head either.
What can I make using this pigs head?
What would you do?
I will have to disguise it a bit. Don't think my kids will eat it if I serve the whole head! :rotfl:0
