If you don't pay income tax then 4% will get you 4% net, which is better than 3.1%.
If you happen to fall into the small bracket where you pay 10% tax on your savings interest then 4% will get you 3.6% net, which is better than 3.1%.
If you pay basic rate income tax then 4% will get you 3.2% net, which is very similar to 3.1%.
If you pay higher rate income tax then 4% will get you 2.6% net, which is worse than 4%.
For a standard rate tax payer you'd get about an extra £3 a year with £3k in Egg Money rather than a 3.1% ISA.
But remember that if you don't use your ISA allowance in a year you lose it. If you can afford to keep the money in there (i.e. repay the Stoozed card from elsewhere) then this may well, in the long run, be worth more than £3 to you.
Belated thanks for this - was away for three months but managed to arrange for isa beforehand and good i did - egg withdrew their 4% positive balance interest! But apart from isa, I think there is nothing much there to make stoozing worth it for small time stoozers like me:-(0 -

Does anyone know if you can access the new Virgin card if you already have a Virgin credit card- or have had one recently?
It might be possible- because I know for a fact some people have several MBNA cards- but was wondering f anyone has tried it.
Been offered Santander Zero card this week which has a no fee BT too so it really does look like time for another go at stoozing. I think, but not 100% sure - you can have numerous MBNA cards, but each has to be slightly different. I have MBNA and now Virgin, but you cannot have 2 of the exactly same ones...
You can however try and call to cancel - see if they offer you anything.0 -

I too received the Santander offer - it is 0% interest on BT up to August 2010 but 3% BT fee is applicable!
Was the Virgin offer without any fee??? I already have a virgin card:-(
Back in business may be, but where do we get a good interest rate? ISA rates are not that great now and Egg Money has taken away its positive balance interest which was superb while it lasted. Any tips?
Would like to get back to my small time stoozing...0
