I got my Owl energy saving monitor from The Daily Mail after many weeks of waiting. My daughter now wants one and I'm sure the Mail (or was it another newspaper) were advertising some to giveaway. Can anyone let me know?

    Thanks.

I realised yesterday that I haven't received my plug-in monitor.
I did get the owl and have been using it for a month or so, but no sign of the monitor? Has everyone had theirs?

I applied for the mail on Sunday offer just before Christmas for the Owl and standby saver, I finally got my standby saver lead today but still no owl monitor. Phoned the mail helpline and they said both have been sent out, so hopefully my Owl will be here later in the week. The number I called was 01420 252593 - gave them my postcode and they found me no problems.

Could someone please confirm the Daily Mail offer. I received the Owl monitor but not the other device I supposed to get for being a British Gas customer. What was this as I kept no record!

The main offer (from end 2008/beginning 2009) was the OWL Energy Monitor for which you had to send 3 tokens and a cheque for £2.92.

The additional offer was for a British Gas Standby Saver (worth £19.99). They had 10,000 to give away to British Gas customers - you had to put in your British Gas customer number on the application form.

You could apply for both of these offers or just one or the other.

A Standby Saver arrived today, but I'm still waiting for the OWL.

I did this months ago so I suppose it might still arrive. I am only a British Gas customer for the boiler and heating 3* servicing though so maybe that doesn't count.
