Daily mail Energy Monitor Question (multipage.gif1 2 3 ... Last Page)

    Peter says

    Hi all,

Have just phoned again to check if I'm on the system, and was told that the stock of monitors and energy savers are expected in two weeks.

    Hope this helps
    Peter
  • Don't forget this is British Gas we are dealing with here, a company that frequently takes 65 WORKING days to inform their customers of a price increase...and that's just a letter! imagine how long it's going to take them to send a package to 100,000 customers! I hope you wasn't planning on giving it as an Xmas pressie. Not this year, anyway. :D

I don't doubt nor deny British Gas' inability to arrange an indulgence in a brewery but the cited period over which a price increase is announced to customers has nothing whatsoever to do with their ability to arrange a mailshot. Yet another non sequitur of bizarre inappropriateness.

You love that phrase, don't you? :rotfl:Maybe you would care to give us your proof that the fact they are so slow at sending a mere letter has nothing whatsoever to do with their ability to arrange a 'mailshot' (actually, it's a wireless monitor so clearly needs to be sent in the appropriate packaging). Or is it just the 'law of KY?'

They rang me a few weeks after I'd switched away to ask if I wanted Homecare . Hmmm...never had Homecare while I was with you so, err, why would I be wanting it now? Chap was a bit lost for words, poor b*gger must have been given the wrong list or summat. :p

  • Got mine yesterday and as I already have one I'm giving it to my father. Check out the plummeting prices on ebay next week if anyone wants a cheap one...

Someone (normally very well informed) told me that the Gov't is giving them out to every household in the near future.
    Nice to save.
