  • Hi all, I havent really posted on her before yest but have read and re-read all your pages and you have given me inspiration to do baskets etc this year.

They are all brilliant, I just hope mine will turn out ok. I will post piccies once I've done them. I think I'm doing 5 (at the mo). Just remembered I've done 4 choc mugs already & maybe doing a choc bouquet (not sure yet).

I hope your daughter feels better soon Rusty - my DD (2 1/2 yrs) thought she was crying in the piccie.

Shes got a cold at the mo and shes not sleeping at night - again dosing her up with calpol.

If your dd has a cold and cnt sleep try this, prop her up in bed, I placed something under the matress of my dd. Although you can buy this weird thing now in argos, what a waste of dosh.

Any ways do this and it needs to be out of reach fill a bowl with kettle hot water and a little bit o baby vics.

Sorry if I am sticking my beak in though I would pass a tried and tested method.

Not you're not at all, thanks.

I've proped up the bed but hadn't thought of the bowl with vics in.

I will try that. Thank you again.
  • Groovy Girl. i sympathise, my youngest is off school at the moment with some kind of virus.

Have you tried Medised? It is basically paracetamol but with antihistamines in as well that make them sleepy. So you give it just like Calpol but with the added bonus of making them drowsy so they can sleep off the bug. Mine have had it from the age of 2 and it is far far better than calpol. You can still alternate it with Nurafed Ibuprofen if you need to use both.

    Good luck

I LOVE the box Rusty. Did you just cover a shoebox with paper or did you buy it?

Nemotoad, thankyou, the boxes were a pack of 3 from Aldi and they were supposed to be £2.99 but I got them for £1.99 as one has a slight mark .... (its on the bottom so you are never going to see it ;) )
