Fantastic hampers everyone
Rainmac I am still thinking about your party bags mind isn't working quite as well as it should as OH has been told there is no work ... he has taken next week off work and we have to hope that he can go back in Jan
I have a question ... I plan to book a CBT course for OH for christmas, I went on the website to just double check the price of it (£100) I have plasters (kids ones) and I have a motorbike with a man on it (so I have bought him his first bike) however I noticed on the website that they do a christmas voucher for the CBT course and it is valid for 3 months from christmas day ... do I go and pay for the voucher or shall I just put in the cash?? sorry for the pointless question but I really am unsure what to do!!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Don't worry about my party bags. I'm going to take DS2 to an indoor play place in Friday morning and they sell party bag bits that you can buy individually, I'm sure there will be something there I can pick up.
Sorry to hear about your OH, things are pretty uncertain for so many at the moment aren't they, don't think all the doom and gloom on the news helps to be honest. Make sure you put him to work if he's at home
I think I would put the money with the bits you've bought. Such a great pressie for him:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Always the risk that cash could get mislaid with all the christmas chaos (and wrapping paper). But I wouldn't get the voucher. Don't want to tempt fate-when I got my provisional licence, I fell down the stairs and couldn't take my CBT as soon as I'd hoped for! Besides, he might want to wait until the weather is nicer and the days are brighter. I did my CBT in Feb (1998) and it was freezing! I was cold I couldn't feel my fingers. Why not make up a voucher yourself and keep the money safe so it's there as soon as he wants to book it?Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks Rainmac, what about one of the little teddies from asda? they are £1 and are about 4inches high? (possibly 6 inches!) they are cute though and quite cheap?? that just came to me :rotfl:
I think its just a shock as I only work 4 hours a week and he works 45 ... he can always find work just a bit harder now the petrol prices are dropping and the price of a barrel of oil is low! plus he doesn't want to have to work away again so fingers crossed!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

So no cash ... and no voucher
Does that mean I can give him a box with a bike and plasters in and go on a shopping spree?:p:rotfl:
Fantastic idea for the home made voucher I will see what I can come up with ... although with things like that I normally get him to do them :rolleyes:Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Rusty, if I were you I wouldn't worry about making up another hamper, what you have done so far is lovely and you have spent a lot of money already on hubby, I am sure he will appreciate it without an extra hamperGod is good, all the time
Do something that scares you every day

Well, I know of several times when money has gone missing amongst the wrapping paper and packaging at our house, so wouldn't want you risk throwing out £100 with the rubbish. How about a cheque with a home made voucher? You might be able to find a bike 'pass your test' card to pop it in. Although you'll probably have to ask in the card shops at the moment, so maybe that's not such a good idea...I'm rambling....sorry.....need coffee.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
