  • Wow you are all amazing on here. Been looking through all the posts for about 4 hours - haven't got a thing done! I really want to do the hamper thing, but was organised this year and have finished my shopping, but I know what i will be doing in the future for birthday pressies etc.
Does anyone know how much you are expected to pay in the florist if you ask to buy cellophane or ribbon? I wouldn't know what price is reasonable to be honest and don't want to be ripped off.
    Thanks everyone.

Welshe_cake - Yeah you will pay roughly £1.00 ++ for one metere which is okay if your doing one hamper , but any more you are better buyin in bulk! Hobby craft sells it for £6.00 for 20 meteres and a seller called flowerhour on ebay sells it at good prices too.

  • I've just been on ebay , and tried searching by seller, as I want some cellophane. Put flowerhour in the search box, and it's come up with 0 items. Does that mean she's old out, or have I got her user id wrong? Are there any other good value sellers if she's sold out? Thanks

Flower Hour is the shop name and is different from the user id (confusing I know). This is the shop... http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Flower-Hour

One more thing, and i'm sure this has been asked and answered many times in this thread - but where's the best place to buy cellophane? I'm looking on eBay and the measurements are foreign to me as i've no idea how much i'll need.

Lots of people (including me!) have got their cellophane from http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Flower-Hour. You can also try your local florist. Someone did mention seeing rolls of clear cello in either Lidl or Aldi, sorry can't remember which now :o

A 5m roll seems to last me a good few presents but it will obviously depend on how large your pressies are ;)

    Good luck :D

Hi well all my basketts are done but wrapping them is proving a lot harder. I am doing mine with wrapping paper so that they have something to tear lol. It is so far defeating me but I will have a think and see what I can come up with.

Best run now as very hungry lol
