Ive done my baskets but cant post photos as camera is in for repair. I feel like we're some secret society, I now look at all those gift sets in Boots ets and think, I could do that but better/cheaper. Well done everyone and thanks for the inspiration.

rusty - those boxes........I can't get over how lovely they are..................:T
Super hampers everyone. Looked at my baskets again this morning........OH says they look ok but I don't..........used the wrong sort of ribbon for a start and clear cello (had it given me so was being cheapskate)..........thinking I might sneaking re-do them when OH is out of the way......got some lovely lilac cellophane with a bunch of flowers OH bought me yesterday - not big enough to do whole basket but would cover over the contents ok.........then pretty ribbon and job done ! (I hope)
Bit stuck till I get scratch cards and lottery tickets to pop in various jars I've done..........anyone know if you can get lottery tickets in advance for the Christmas draw ?

Must sit down and work it out so I can sleep at night!! I discovered my first Wilkinsons today! How fab!! Had waited two hours(!!!!) to see my neurologist (I have MS, and am not too well at the mo) so we missed our train home and had to waste two hours in Gloucester. So I treated myself to a load of lovely baskets (£1.99 up to £3) which OH then had to carry home in the rain! And Worcester was mad busy as we have the Victorin Fayre on this weekend! A looooong day! Also got a few nice bargains to go in hampers, like gorgeous coloured notepads, folders and pens for my little cousins.
Hi Vicky, I have MS too, bit of a bummer but I'm doing ok. Hope you're feeling much better soonGet that bunbun to make you something lovely to cheer you up
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Rusty, Went to Aldi today and they didn;t have any of your fab boxes but did get a set of round ones similar in design to yours and some other Xmasy square ones. They'll be fine but I really wanted ones like yours
Ikea sell 100g bars of milk and plain chocolate for 45p a bar and I think it's great for making things with (only tried it in Rocky Road so far but it is yummy). Melts brilliantly in the microwave too! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
I would just use your clear cello, if you have your bow and curls it will be fine! Dont spend if you dont need to! The wrapping lasts two minutes anyway as whoever is lucky enough to receive your gift will be dying to get into it!
I say the same, bet it looks great Mary! The recipient will be bowled over at all the effort you've gone to and what does soemone do as soon as they get handed a gift? Rip all the wrapping offMaybe try a bow or curls or both and leave it at that
