    Hmmm sounds like you need to re-install the drivers for the modem and start again?! Do you have your username and password for your ISP?

    no i dont think i do how to i find what drivers i have and havent got

    Do you have any spyware in place to prevent infection? e-mail worms,
    spyware, etc Some !!!!!! dialers knock out your connection...

    there aint nothing hid there,
    if i go to network connections i only have a wan miniport (pppoe) and before there was another icon but its no longer there

    nope no spyware on there as done a big clean up yesterday and no software either looks like i will have to call someone out,thankyou for trying to help
