it was the same in my local store today. i could only find the boxes for 2 quid each0 -
I picked up the cadburys ones this morning clearly was 2.99 save 1.99 now 1.00 so I picked up 4 paid and thought nothing of it got home read this thread and checked my reciept was charged £2 each phoned tesco who said take you reciept back at your own leisure and get a refund
decided to send my 15 yr old daughter up as she has a day off today and at first they tried to fob her off as they had now taken the sign down they also said they needed the products back yet no mention of this with tesco cs " take your reciept back at your own leisurefor a refund" was all that was said she was just leaving when security called her back and they refunded the the amount overcharged. She said she was made to feel like and idiot first and then when when security called her across the car park she felt like a criminal
Naughty store, I would complain about the treatment of your daughter and the fact she was fobbed off with the difference only, contrary to Tesco policy.
As ednotdave says in an earlier post, you should have got Double the Difference (applies in all Tesco stores to all overcharges but not online).
I got DTD on 2 selection boxes this morning, no quibbles at all from CS. I wish I had bought more but wasn't expecting the overcharge at all, it was just luck (but I always check my receipt for overcharges).
I have posted this DTD on the misprices thread but I expect most stores have got rid of the wrong SELs by now.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

We bought a couple on thursday night, then went back today to get a couple for my dad and cubs for xmas raffles, friend wanted some for her nan.Asked customer service to price check and came up at £2, so shown receipt for last night at £1, and told them the offer was advertised till 11th November, then the girl phoned someone and said that we could have them for £1, and to tell checkout to change it to a £1. Then we were told by an another manager no, in an arrogent manner.after a long dispute with 2 managers and no customer service girl to tell them we were told yes, (ment to be on break,) my 2 friends were escorted off the premises like criminals and told were barred (for disputing what was said, and being called liars)Absolutely appaulling!!!!! How can some stores still charge £1 and others ban you from store for disputing this?????Some stores only allow you to have so many and limit you, on how many you can have yet other stores have no limits!!!!!! Surely this is wrong!!!!!!!Phoned customer services and was put throu to store manager who is looking into it, also told today we were speaking to store manager, when in fact she wasnt, she was just one of the managers!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0

I can understand your anger at this treatment, but no stores are still charging £1.
The items are scanning at £2, it's just that some stores have left the old cheaper price up in error. The offer price has been 'pulled' early - it happens when they make a mistake with the initial price or when they sell too many items too quickly at at the offer price. You can never assume an offer will run until the last day shown on the shelf - they can change it at any time (not just Tesco do this, all retailers do if loss-leader items sell too quickly).
Can't understand why you asked CS for a price check, I would never do this??
If you had been overcharged you could have got them for free today (assuming your local store had left the old price up?). Did the SEL say £1 but the till scanned at £2? If so you should have paid up then gone to the CS desk and claimed your freebie for being overcharged.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

i had mine delivered today all charged at £2 phoned up customer service and got the extra refunded with no probs whatsoever.
cheekaboo65 that is appalling behaviour and certainly not acceptable i would make sure to get a written apology0 -
The Bolton store was still selling at £1, a friend of ours got some today, and even if they weren't, they have still been honouring the price today if you look at other posts!!! they should have a policy and stick to it, not do different things for others, and some people in todays posts even got double the difference, even without the sign still being up!!! After todays episode in the store with bad mannered managers i will be giving tesco's a miss!!!""0

I never get home delivery as my last and only two attempts (over a year ago) were a disaster - 1 order was 2 hours EARLY!!!!!! I wasnt home so was told It would be redelivered in 2 days time, no good when I had baby and son to feed and cupboards were bare. 2nd attempt was almost a quater of my order was subs at double the price (i selected NO SUBS!) or not available yet some were instore 2 hours after delivery when OH went for milk!!!
It put me off for life and I think I would have missed rooting through the reduced food sections :-)0 -
I missed out on this when they changed the offer price without notice. I'm mega annoyed at Tesco as it was marked as on offer until 11th Nov. so have mailed them. So far no reply, will let you know what they say............probably not a lot.0
