The 25p 100g chocolate bars that can be bought in Asda and Tesco definitely work on the chocolate fountain (bought mine in Currys) - there are 5 of us and I break 5 bars into rough squares, put them in the base, let them melt and then click the fountain button and away it goes - chocolate heaven.
No need for expensive chocolate (the value ones have a high cocoa content anyway), no need for any oil etc.
Tesco sell marshmallows in packs for about 74p.All credit cards paid off.

Don't put oil in ( like it recommends to thin the chocolate and get a better flow). It makes the chocolate taste awful..
I used the Tesco extra smooth chocolate ( about 52p for 200g) , but i would not recommned it as its too bland when melted . After putting oil in it tasted awful.
You really want a slightly darker chocolate ( the value milk chocolate would probably be better as its not as milky).
The flow seems to get better after a few minutes ( probably as all the parts get up to temperature ( only the base is heated )0 -
Is it hard to clean?0
