Aol or Tiscali Broadband

Hi
Been reading how wonderful O2 is but I'm one of the 'un-bundled' so get the expensive option.
My options seem (chosen in my wisdom from the 'Top Ten' list) to come down to either Aol, which would be £9.99 a month or Tiscali at £14.99 a month. Can anyone comment on the efficiency / reliability of either of these services? I'd obviously rather have Aol.
(Point to note: If there is any technical information to be imparted, this needs to be kept VERY simple!!)
Thanks.

AOL is now run by Carphone Warehouse (Talk Talk), and Tiscali is ( apparently ) about to be aquired by Sky.That gum you like is coming back in style.0

check sam knows and see what you can get in your area.
aol talk talk tiscali seem a no no due to feedback on this site. Its fair to say you may not have the bad experience of others with these companies but is it worth the risk?0 -
We've been having a NIGHTMARE recently with AOL. It's great when we don't have technical problems. I seem to have spent the whole weekend trying to get my AOL problems sorted out and still having problems. I'm not a very technical person and it's been very stressful. We're thinking of moving to SKY but have heard 02 is good. Good luck.0

I too are experiencing problems with AOL - pages not loading and having to refresh pages for them to load - says AOL not responding yet when I click to open Internet Explorer it runs great and loads pages it instantly! Definately problem with AOL.

My goodness, what a predicament your in, and just to throw a further spanner into the works, O2 are having supply problems at several of their exchange's at the moment, very slow speeds at peak times etc, it seems they are a victim of their own success, so I'm not sure I'd even recommend O2 at the moment, even though I'm with them..0 -
AOL are rubbish - they were ok until they merged with the carphone warehouse. The customer service is appauling - when you ring to complain, they just cut you off!
After 6years with AOL, I am now with o2. I have been with them for 3 months now and have had no problems. Better still, it only costs £7.50 a month - and I get 8mg speed for that too!0
