I think this is one of mr Boots glitches that doesn't work in our favour (maybe if they see it, they will fix it? lol)
I don't know about .com, but you can have more than 1 gwp in a transaction in store? I had 3 17 gwps in one transaction yesterday. Spent over £5 x 3 though.0 -
Evening all,
Apologies in advance if this is the wrong place to post this.... however, with recent talk of people having more excess stash than you can shake a stick at, I thought that the :xmassmile Elf Christmas scheme :xmassmile from postpals may be of interest.
Postpals was first mentioned on the Bootsing board a few months ago. It is a UK charity that aims to put smiles on the faces of very poorly children, by getting members of the public to send them cards, letters, and little gifts through the post.
For Christmas, they are looking for elves who will be assigned a child. You can then read that child's page and found out a bit about their hobbies and interests, as well as finding out about what illness they are suffering from and how their treatment is going. You have a budget of £15 to spend on goodies for your assigned child- this quickly adds up when you consider the RRP of most of the makeup/ toiletries etc you may have going spare. You then post this off to the child in time for Christmas.
Anyways just thought there may be a few Bootsers who have some spare goodies they may like to send to one of these children. Full details are here: http://www.postpals.co.uk/news.php
May also be useful for anyone who still has pinkies coming out of their ears and is sick of the sight of them lol- perhaps they could be put towards some nice bits and bobs for one of these children.
Postpals are also running a :rudolf:Reindeer scheme:rudolf:- if you volunteer to be a reindeer, you get assigned a young child and need to send them 9 cards during December- one from each reindeer, giving them updates about how the elves are doing and what Father Christmas is getting up to :santa2:. This sounds soooo bless! :snow_grin
Anyways, apologies as off topicjust thought some of you Bootsers might be able to make a little bit of space in your cupboards/drawers/wardrobes/underbed storage boxes/loft/other hidey holes
and put a smile on a child's face at the same time!
Thanks for reading this guys :xmassign:
Awww hunniYou are such a :A
I have two step DDs and if I can make a child's face light up like theirs does on xmas morning, then I can't think of anything better
There isn't one in Queen Street, sorry if that was confusing! I did actually have a little hunt upstairs for one today and couldn't find anything. There is usually a good selection of clearance in Llanishen if you can get thereAnd if you're ever in Swansea, they seem to have a permanent clearance shelf upstairs...
(but I'm not saying Swansea is better than Cardiff)
Do you think you'll get another load of extra points for the third event when you spend £50 at the second (like the first and second events) hope if it is will only be extra 500, going to wait for the elle set... x
Thanks - need to go to bed I think - too much reading has given me brain ache!!!
Hope the extra points are on - they will have to give people an incentive to go through the door.0 -
When is the next spend £50 get 1000pts night please. Meant to write it down last time it was mentioned!0

Nice to see some more Welsh (I'm assuming?!) and local people on hereI noticed some anti-ageing skin care in clearance yesterday, this might work with the new vouchers?
I'm only 18 so sadly hair dye and anti-ageing skin care didn't appeal to me much0 -
