Ah, now I understand. I googled the expression and found this -
SCOTTISH FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE CIRCULAR 12/2007
FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE RISK MANAGEMENT FOR METHYLAMPHETAMINE AND OTHER ILLICIT DRUG LABORATORIES
Summary
This guidance is designed to assist fire and rescue service personnel to recognise an illicit drug laboratory (IDL) and provide advice to fire and rescue services on developing appropriate operational procedures and safe systems of work to deal with incidents involving IDLs.
1. Introduction
1.1 The new risk posed by illicit drug laboratories (IDLs), particularly those involving 'Methylamphetamine' (sometimes referred to as Methamphetamine) is increasing within the UK. There are many examples from Canada, the United States, Australia and New Zealand of emergency service first responders being killed or injured due to hazards associated with IDLs.
The term IDL is obviously a secret sign from those involved in using sales as a device to smuggle drugs. The evil swines, so they are.
We must put a stop to this NOW.0 -
I remember IDLs from when i worked in M&S (left there 8 years ago when i started teaching). No idea what it stands for though lol

What a completely vile person you are - have seen some of your other posts too and you must be so proud!0 -
I wonder if it is Instore Discount List?0

just been reading through the posts, is it all children's wear or does anyone know if the rest of us (who do pay vat on our clothes!) will also get to benefit the sale?
IDL, know that signs for sales are called "de-cals", (used to work within operations in a major retail store and be in charge of the de-cals).
IDL could be instore de-cals. Know the initials are incorrect but its an abreviation, not an initialed phrase. Just a guess though0 -

So why on earth quote an acronym on a public forum where 99% of the readers don't know what on earth you're talking about - and then when someone asks for clarification, start on some kind of "knowledge is power" ego-trip and make them feel small?!?
Sorry but it's pathetic0
