but how often is it updated, its pointless if it isnt updated often
It's updated daily.
When I did a lot of driving I noticed that it was more accurate around the middle/end of the week then at the beginning due to the fluctuation in oil prices.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

PetrolPrices.com updates when the individual retailer transmits their price per litre price to allstar fuelcards, if a retailer doesn't take fuelcards or only 1 a week that would be reflected on the frequecy of the update
If you see a quite popular station only update every 2-3 days this is because every station has 3 days to transmit their records to allstar it can be quite expensive via dialup so they do it in one hit every 3 days.0
