Despite what Watchdog said, I don't believe that ASDA does charge the same in all their supermarkets, because when there was an article about ASDA dropping its petrol price recently, the price shown per litre was less than we were charged that same afternoon at my local ASDA.

After all why would they charge any less than what they could get for a product? I live in a relatively rural area, and we do not have many garages selling petrol anyway, so even our supermarket petrol is usually higher than more urban areas.
One of the main points that they were making
  • Yes I did get the point about rural v urban petrol prices but they said that ASDA charge the same at all their supermarkets, which I don't think is true.
  • Glaringly obvious advice - yes . Near me there are quite a few petrol stations and there is a big difference in price sometimes . I always see people filling up at the dear ones and I wonder whats going through their heads . Must have money to burn .

I actually find it interesting what garages and supermarkets with garages charge in different parts of London. Strangely it's not linked to the socio-economic make up of the area, the number of garages or how easy it would be to get the fuel to the area. They seem to just work out in some areas they can get away with charging more and others less.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

Daily, in most cases, so you're looking at yesterday's prices.
