  • Bake a carrot cake. Yummy :p
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in. :D

Carrot soup is lovely, as is carrot cake.

You are not a vegetarian! Fish have faces too!

I did cook some fish once on a bed of grated carrot, VERY tasty;)

    Thanks Sarah :-)

I gave up red meat first, then poultry but never got around to the fish. I find it easier to say vegetarian to people as its less long winded than I don't eat meat or poultry. Also I don't eat that much fish.

I've never had carrot soup although I ahve had soup with carrots in it. I think I'll give it a try.

    Thanks
  • Carrot soup, carrot mash on its own or mixed with potato, chunks of carrot roasted with other root vegetables, carrot cake.

Hmmm Carrot cake! Why didn't I think of that?

I'll have to try carrot and potato mash. it's something that I've never tried before.

Carrot and potato mash is really yummy, even my dd likes it. ROasted carrots are good too, brings out the natural sweetness.

Hmmm I may roast some carrots tomorrow. I don't tend to roast my veg but I have some home grown aubergenes and I bought some peppers this evening too. Add a few onions and other veg - Yummy!
  • carrots freeze well, just blanche them for one minute. I freeze the ones I grow and then just put a handful into stews and casseroles in the winter,
    ps I am veggie too!

  • Indian Carrot and Lentil Soup
Fry a finely chopped onion in a pan, add a load of grated carrots and 2 pints of vegie stock, simmer. Meanwhile simmer 4 tbsp of red lentils for about 10 mins. Wash the lentils and add to the soup. Add 1 tsp chilli powder and pepper.

Its a quite watery soup with the bits of carrots and lentils. I love it and have frozen it before no probs.

Grate the raw carrot and add a knob of melted butter use this to stuff the fish, stitch up with a skewer and wrap in foil and throw it in the oven for some minutes (all depends how big the fish is and how much carrot you stuff into it but around 20-30 mins in preheated oven gas 5)

    Eat it.
