Business address has slightly changed again to avoid bad press, now seen as
Red Five UK
[TEXT REMOVED BY FORUM TEAM]
Look at the bottom how in tiny weeny writing the says Parker Worldwide
Take note such a scam
Whether Charity, Talk talk or 'government surveying' 6 days a week, self employed yet made to feel 12 hour days are part of the process just to earn the boss big bucks on the promise that one day it will all be yours.
Have a dream? then set your own company up well away from them
then earn what you like - statistically you have more chance of having your very own successfully business then making to their franchised, pyramid scheme and can still have a life to enjoy
Warning also now in plymouth alongside southampton and bournemouth too0 -
Not to forget Global Platinum in Bournemouth
Same office, same scam - different name0 -
SMS Marketing in Southampton. I am still not sure if it is just another name of well-known Red5UK, but they have their office in the same building.
I had recently relocated to Southampton and was actively looking for jobs. Some time ago I applied for the position of "Office assistant" and recieved an invitation for an interview.
By arrival I was greeted by the same stupid pool-table, fish tank and loud music from the wall-mounted TV. After my interviewer mentioned "face-to-face marketing" and "fast management promotion", I asked him if there was any mistake, because I did not apply for any sales and marketing job. He answered that they "generate various job ads in order to attract people from different paths of life". This was enough to make me sick, I apologised and left the office. To my entire surprise an overly optimistic girl called the same evening and tweeted cheerfully that they were really impressed by my performance during the interview and they would like to invite me for a training day. Ha-ha, no need to say I never came back. Such a waste of time, effort and money too (I could easily save on petrol and childcare that day)0 -
I just interviewed cautiously this morning, really glad this thread is here to confirm my suspicions. Some people have already mentioned the two Bournemouth companies but I'll add them here again:
Global Platinum & PAP Worldwide (who names their company "PAP"? The name alone tells you they're not a marketing company, ha ha ha)0 -
Marketing concepts Scotland in Glasgow.
I've now been with them for a week,
Are you still with these bunch of jokers?
I left after about six weeks, it's amazing how bad it is to actually work for them. They lie straight to your face in the interview. I don't think i was actually told it was commission only until a week into starting there.
In all fairness though having that on my cv has got me jobs at T-mobile, Currys and as a business sales advisor with Vodafone.
Not knocking them too much0 -
I have just had my secon round interview at Think Marketing in Edinburgh and I would definitely advise people who are looking for a job or even a career with great management opporunities, as they call it, to omit this company. They make it sound like a perfect business opportunity and I have almost got cought up with it.
At my first interview I have not been told much about actual duties but how can I progress to become a manager. However, How do they know I am the right person for this position. They did not expect people to have any education or experience. Is that not strange? They guy used all fancy worlds and have been so nice to me that I though : Is everything not too nice ? It is not that easy to get a good job nowadays. They said that after carefully reviewing my application I have been successful and I am invited for a second interview, which will be a chance to observe the work and get more information about the company.
So I have been naive and came on my second interview, I have been there from 12 till 9 "observing" the work for free. My job involved watching one of the leaders and knocking on the door. We had a "business breakdown "during which the process of becoming a manager has been explained, not in details and in very unrealistic way . I have heard that you go out with much money however we did not get many sales, we only got one and it was an experienced leader that did all the talking. When I have asked if I would get any money for travel , they said no but its only 4-5 days of traing for free. That do not sound like a good company at all.
Even I got a job I am not going to take it now and I am glad I have found this forum or I would have made a huge mistake!0 -

Is another one. Meant to be going out with them tomorrow but certainly will not as reading the rest of the forum I have had the same experience as everyone else.0 -

I got a call about 3 minutes after I applied for the role online. Was offered an interview but was straight away not sure for obvious reasons!
After looking at this thread and at their website and reading 'below-the-line direct marketing and count a huge array of FTSE 100 companies as clients' which is the nearest they get to explaining what that actually do! I emailed this Kyle guy back saying that I would not be attending the interview.
Total waste of time, so clad I did some investigating and didn’t just go because I need a job badly!0 -
Was walking past Red Five's Southampton office the other day, and surprisingly enough they've changed their name again - this time to '8 Global Solutions'.
Let's make it clear that this is just Red Five/Parker Worldwide/Powerhouse in disguise, and nothing's changed. Hopefully people will see this thread before wasting any time or money on:

Couldn't post the website link here but it's easy enough to find on search engines, literally just the stuff from their older sites cut and pasted onto a slightly flashier backdrop...still disgusts me just as much.0 -
Just a heads up I think Marketing Concepts Glasgow may have changed their name to First Class Concepts, either way it's the same deal as the other companies listed here. I thought it was a bit strange the interviewer was vague about what it was the company actually did, then after my first interview I was invited to shadow one of the team, luckily they sent us out in pairs and the girl I was paired with thought it sketchy as well, after talking with her for a bit I decided to leave and when I got home I did some more research on the company after finding out today they were supposed to be something to do with perDM and found this forum so I thought I should give everyone fair warning. Btw they're advertising alot on gumtree now because it's free to post so be wary when searching for a job on it.0
