Omg! My pizza was amazing! Even hubs said it's the best he has had! So crispy, so easy and also very quick.

We will def use this weekly if not more often!

Had a quick look at the advert and it does look tempting - but we only have pizza about once every 2 months or so, definitely NOT worth it in this house.

Did have a bit of laugh though at the 'included £9 Pizza Cutter' - when you look at their 'accessories' the replacement Pizza Cutter is priced at either £6.99/p&p £2.99 OR £3.99/p&p £1.99 - and it's the £3.99 one that's shown as coming with the Pizza Maker!
  • Oven isn't very good at making pizzas, tried every little combination.Either it's cooked unevenly (one side burned other side raw), or it's soggy in the bottom and cooked on top.

I want to buy a pizza maker - apparantly they are more energy efficient and do a better job of cooking pizza than a gas oven.

There are so many to choose from. Anyone have any personal experiences?
  • Sorry, can't give you advice, as never had one, but used to use an unglazed quarry tile, which was pretty good. You can also get pizza stones http://www.amazon.co.uk/ProCook-Pizza-Stone-38cm-15in/dp/B0026OND1G

    Have found an older thread.

I've got a pizza maker and it does make good pizzas. It's essentially a pizza stone in a self-contained oven, so a pizza stone would be cheaper. However you have to heat them up before putting the pizza in, so you'd need somewhere to put the very hot stone while you put the pizza on it.

The one I got was this but I don't know if it's available in the UK any more as their website doesn't seem to exist. It was https://www.pizzamaker.co.uk

I never took the tile out of the oven, I put the pizza directly on to the tile using a short handled pizza peel.
Looking at the prices of the pizza peels today, it might actually be more economical to go with the pizza oven!

Mine is very similar to this one, but no way would I advocate buying one at that price. Think I paid about £6, although certainly was a few years ago.
