Being a public forum, people are entitled to comment and disagree with your posts without being subject to your personal abuse
People are not entitled to deliberately pour oil on the fire and that is precisely what Suzey did. Her comments were not helpful but deliberately self righteous, provocative and inflammatory bearing in mind the known high stress circumstances in which they were made.
As a consequence they received the kind of response that they fully deserved.0 -
If you are that stressed that reading posts from strangers on the Internet brings out that kind of reaction in you, then I would suggest that it's you with the problem.
There was nothing in your original post which was helpful either - it was just a rant.
Anyway, this is my last reply to you, you're obviously content to wallow in your misery.

I don't know why I bother trying to reason with you
You weren't trying to reason with me at all. You were merely trying to tick me off and put me down.
If you carried on investing with Icesave aware of all the dangers that you now admit to having uncovered but that I was not aware of then you clearly are an exceedingly reckless individual and probably deserved to lose all your money.
A pity then that you did not invest in the Guernsey subsidiary of Icesave where your wish to be exposed to high risk you could have easily avoided could have been more adequately fulfilled.
Do you perhaps also go in for bungee jumping or tombstoning as a hobby too?
By the way I find it surprising that with over 1,900 posts in the forum you still haven't learned that quotations come before the item you are commenting on and not after them.0 -

No this is a thread in which Icesave investors are showing solidarity with one another about their misfortune and the activities of the FSCS but you are deliberately trying to be provocative for your own sad emotional satisfaction.
I also note the contradiction between your choice of forum name and your forum avatar. Perhaps that explains a lot about you and your very complicated mind.
If you really think you deserved to lose all your money and the government shouldn't have bailed Icesave investors out then perhaps you should right to the national newspapers to air that controversial point of view.0 -
If I remember even after reading T&C (which I didn't do) there was a gap in that it was not clear if UK would cover the first 15k euro if Iceland defaulted.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

Well at least a certain person has removed their confusingly camp avatar as a result of my comments. However I expect that avatar probably explains their posting style and why they get off on deliberately provoking other forum members.
EDIT:- Seems I spoke too soon as the male underpants icon is back.0 -

Can you let the mods know about post 250 while you are at it? Cheers.

...is getting just a little personal wouldn't you say?
Call the mods in by all means but you may find some of your posts come in for scrutiny too.
The bottom line is people here are responding to this situation in different ways, some are missing the interest they will do without due to this debacle, some like me, are just glad to be getting their money back at all. We are all different, some are glass half empty kind of people, some are glass half full. I think everyone just needs to cut each other a little slack.
Can't we all just get along? :beer:Temrael

Well good for you, it may give the 'mods' the opportunity to look back over your posts to see what a negative, angry, vexatious, abusive person you are.0 -

I see that "Susie" has now removed that avatar again in order to eradicate the evidence.
Post 252 implies this particular poster may work at the FSCS helpline. If so then posting in the forum against Icesave investors in this way may almost certainly breach the terms and conditions of their employment. The bottom line is people here are responding to this situation in different ways, some are missing the interest they will do without due to this debacle, some like me, are just glad to be getting their money back at all. We had all been getting along very well in the three different threads until a certain person purposely chose to throw a spanner in the works.:mad:0 -

Do you work for the FSCS or the FSCS's third party helpline supplier by any possible chance. If so you are almost certainly in breach of the terms and conditions of your employment. Your forum name also suggests your purpose in belonging to the forum is probably to wind people up.0
