Thank you Miss Money Penny. I have my training on monday and start Saturday. kinda excited - one of the worst things about being unemployed is the isolation - i do see my friends but they have jobs, kids, partners etc.
Starting to get better thank you, but I keep trying to do to much too quickly. thanks for commenting on my diary

I've been slacking a little lately. I've been feeling very discouraged. a lot of my friends have problems, money, home life etc and i've kinda been taking that on and it's been weighing me down. I didn't eat properly last week and am trying to rectify that, though i'm still getting dizzy spells.
Positive:
* Made a big pot of stew, which should keep me going for a bit, and stop me wanting take away (i.e. easy to heat up
)
* Bought my treats from Home bargains (pepsi, chocolate)
* Bought my meat from the butchers (cheaper, better quality, friendlier and in line with my principles)
* Had my training at work
* Sold another two bits on ebay
Negative
* Had a buyer demand a refund because an item 'smelled and had crumpled sleeves'. This is a lie, as I washed it just before sending
* Invested in a "BNWT Cashmere Cardigan" that is faded, looks old fashioned, is only 15% cashmere and has already lost a button
* Bought a £15 pair of shoes on ebay, just because they were red and glittery and I wanted them.£1600 overdraft

Ok I'm doing badly. After Christmas my overdraft is £945. I'm almost a thousand pounds in debt.
Steps:- I have banned myself from buying any clothes
- I am going to attempt (again lol) to use Slicethepie
- I am going to intensify my job hunt, including looking for extra 'bits' of work like cleaning

Hi Cerisa,
Just wanted to say well done on what you're doing so far
I think a lot of people are in the same boat as you after Christmas so everyone's looking for ideas to make their money stretch that little bit further. Have you tried going on the Up Your Income Board? There are some great ideas on there
Also, is your Co-op a Co-operative store? We have them where I live but I didn't know you could get refills etc there. Might have to ask about that the next time I am in ours....
Good luck
Mammy to 2 boys aged 5 and 20
