  • I've found that too - got one of those big packs of 50 pencils in Tesco for £1 (in those bins that they do the £1 stuff) and just put some out so there's always something to write a note with - pens just disappear into the ether here too - I bet there's a place where they go, like the elephants graveyard - and some archaeologist in the future will find them all...:rotfl:

Douglas Adams (Hitch Hiker's Gulde To The Galaxy) Had a theory that pens had to make their way back to their home planet at their earliest opportunity! I'm inclined to agree... pens and socks... but only one of the pair..... very strange, I wonder if there's a one legged race that out-sources socks!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Good morning all. I've been to the farm shop this morning and bought a sack of potatoes and a sack of onions. I couldn't believe how cheap they were. :D
Time for a nice cup of tea now...but I will empty the dishwasher while the kettle boils.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in. :D
  • Oh no.... I don't think he's anything like as slimy!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: And I've not seen Barack do the "big smile, head tilt, I'm on your side, " expression!

Also Flower you're right as the the first black president he does have a lot of people's hope in his hands. But he's changed the world and people's expectations just by having been elected. :T :T :j :j :T :T

Lets be fair, no-one can be as slimy as that :rotfl: (no offence to anyone who liked him, each to their own as they say...)

I agree, I think the whole world sat up when he was elected - I really hope he is able to take the pressure and live up to everyones expectations - it's a big ask, but I think they def chose the right person... I wish him well...:T
