Thank you for all the curtain advice, especially flower!

I was a bit worried that the cream would be a bit blank - I may try pinning up some samples, and then have a think for a while. I like pattern too dusty, and the rest of the room is fairly plain - unless you count the intricate pattern of the trailing cables for playstations, phone chargers, camera cables etc....

I did the livingroom this afternoon, then school work and cooking, and the usual taxi service for the offspring and assorted friends. I think I'll go eat my dinner now!

johanne - agree with the rest - make him suffer. Hugs for you and pumpkin.

Took my lovely bengali ladies out this aft and did my health messages session too (got a translator) which was great. They love it so much and I took some great photos. 17 of us altogether on the walk - about 11 Bengali ladies ages 25-80 and 4 proper east end ladies plus me and my volunteer - what a lovely mix!

Sounds like a fabulous day. And sounds like you've had loads of fun too.

Evening all - where did today go to?

Back from DS1 consulations and all his teachers are pleased with his behaviour and on the whole he is doing very well. Just a bit more effort required here and there.

Going to wash up from dinner (beans on toast) and make a cuppa. Mum should be back with the other two any minute so bath and story/homework for them.

Pigpen so sorry to hear about your DHs cousin. I could say all the usual about at least him not suffering but it doesn't make it any better. People like him are a privilege to have in our lives even if it is for too short a time. xx

She was only in Tuesday so I would have NOT been a naughty teach if I had not gone in...
Incidentally we got satisafctory with some good points...it was a single subject visit.:D

And also, if the room is full of clutter, it isn't possible to clean it quickly and easily - and I don't enjoy housework!
You will get there, just keep on doing the decluttering tasks, and what is known in this house as 'relocation, relocation' - moving things from where they are to where they're supposed to be! Sort out some storage solutions too.

Ask any questions on here, loads of helpful advice available!
I would echo that - if it isn't beautiful or useful get rid...it really does make keeping on top of it so much easier..there is very little in my lounge f'instance and it can be cleaned EASILY in a HHC to Level 3!

I've called the glass place, ordered the glass and arranged to collect it on Friday morning

I've called one tree surgeon, who will hopefully get back to me today so I can actually speak to them to arrange for them to come out and quote

Whooo hoo - and Toots has missed this!
Knees feel better than they have which is great and I can walk without support today. Haven't tried the stairs yet - maybe tomorrow.
Hope the improvement keeps up...stairs tomorrow!
Got to school today, and was met by what I can only describe as 'a wall of staff' :D They'd had a really difficult day with DD3. She'd been pretty off the wall all day.... Pretty manic, and refusing to do anything, and tearful when she was naughty and she'd been naughty, very naughty!). *ahem* *cough cough* Sorry teachers... Guess who forgot to give DD3 her ADHD meds this morning?! *cough cough* bad mummy!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, if they were in any doubt that the condition is real... today has quashed that!! :rotfl: and in the nicest possible way... "welcome to my world" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
That reminds me of the boy I taught who NEVER sat still despite the Ritalin...it was a group thing and the kids came in and sat down - only about 12 of them and the TA and I could not see him at all - because he was sitting totally still..we were so used to his 'ants in the pants' routine we didn't realise he was there - and he was RIGHT BY ME! I was very concerned they'd overdosed him, he was so calm...

I tested my dining room one too - works perfectly;)

Now I think I had better go and DO something...like look at the lists and write down what I have to do ...there is lots:rolleyes:

Incidentally - thrilling US election result...and not a one of you wanted McCain:rotfl: almost wish I'd been here watching it with you all...

Has been suggested that I give omega3 to W to try and help boost his concentration levels. Does anyone know of a chewable/sweet type version I could get to try with him?

Not sure, DS has Tesco's own Omega 3 chewburst (orange flavour) - I checked the back against the sanatagen one I think it was and the quantities of vitamins were the same, but check them out yourself too. They are chewable, but DS takes them whole as he doesn't like taking them and doesn't like the taste (especially when he burps as it tastes of fish apparently... :rotfl: )

I did get him Efalex capsules, as these are the best and were recommended by his psycologist - again, don't taste very nice and I was advised for him to take with fresh orange... (bit like when you take cod liver oil capsules I suppose) They are not cheap though - about £19 for 240 in boots - but get them when they do the buy one get one free on vitamins - last for ages...
    Hope that helps.
