On closer inspection, the top drawer doesn't quite close properly as the metal cover on the front of the top element is warped. Hopefully it will be OK for a couple of weeks! If it makes it through the weekend (I'm away) I can check it daily.
I'm getting very confused by freecycle. As with car boot sales, no one seems to want the stuff I would consider useful (plates, cutlery, dishes etc), but tealight holders and old candles... everyone's after them!
Can you straighten the cover up at all or even take it off? It might keep the door closed - if not, what about one of those child safety clip things that holds the door closed and stops 'little people' getting in them?
As for the freecycle stuff, what about putting it in batches? advertise it as a box of bootsale bits, with candles, etc in it and say it must all go as one?LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -
major calamity here tonight.
DS brushed teeth and brushed out his wobbly tooth - straight down the sink! :rotfl: Then I had to stifle laughing and console a very upset boy. Was only his second tooth to loose.
I wrote an apology note to the Tooth Fairy signed DS's mum - will that do d'you think?
When I questioned DS about what the Tooth Fairy might leave - he suggested a chocolate coin, no mention of real £'s at all. Bless.

Moam We've had lost teeth, and letters of explanation to the tooth fairy.
Essential.... as is the explanation that sometimes the tooth fairy is so busy, she sometimes runs late.... *ahem* :rotfl:

No speeches.....????? I love a good speech me. Just not too many and not too long.... I went to a wedding recently where everyone was reduced to tears by the speeches. Proper emotional. *sniff*
Other than that, it sounds like the perfect day.
PS.... I know most people don't like speeches, and, to each their own honey... take no serious notice of me!!MMSSB Club Founder Member
