Sometimes my lack of motivation really annoys me
Currently there are no local authority allotments on the island, but our local commissioners recently (well a few months ago) sent out a newsletter asking if anyone was interested. I kept forgetting to get in contact, but have just phoned up and put my name on the list. There is now an Allotment Society, and the land should be released to the commissioners next week (12th November), then they can go and measure up for plots. She did say that they were nearly at capacity, so hopefully, keeping everything crossed, I've just got in before it becomes a "dead man's shoes" waiting list. Renting means that we can never actually grow anything - landlords don't want their gardens digging up, and just as stuff gets to harvesting time we could just have to move, so an allotment means there's somewhere permanent where I can grow veggies. Should save a fortune.

Justamum - keep us posted about getting an allotment. There's a few of us on here who have one. Nothing like spending weekends out in the fresh air (even if it is raining!!!). We love ours. Good luck in getting one xx0

Thanks for asking DK, what a little sweetie you are.
Well, I'm much better than yetserday, ABs are definitely better than the other ones. But my stomach's whizzing round like a whizzy thing from whizzville. Not settled at all. However, in true female style, what did I do the second I started to feel better.... not shopping or eating chocolate.... I did too much that's what!!!! I walked the dog, and went to the supermarket. So now I feel really weak, and floppy. Great, what a dufus (sp)
So school run is looming, no dinner prepared. I'm going to eat lunch, collect trhe children, and then just lie still till DH gets home. He'll have to make tea. I can't/won't. So there!!!
ETA : good luck with your MACAW DK :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:MMSSB Club Founder Member

Hiya
I've just had an unexpected visit from one of the doctors at my practice. Apparently, they've had a discussion and have decided I don't have shingles but another virus. Apparently the blisters I have aren't on a nerve pathway. So, no excuses not to fly and I can work but have to avoid the hospice until all the blisters have gone. So here goes.....
and the list has been completed!!!!
Amazing how quickly you can do it when things aren't actually too bad and you're listening to an IPOD xx
MCAW: I will do 100 sit-ups a day!

[strike] Put BM on for rolls (for lunch)[/strike]

Woooooheeeeyyyy all done. Bad news is car will need a new timing belt  and two new tyres (was half expecting that). They don't have the timing belt in so it will need to stay in o/n (I could have had it back but this way they can take it apart tonight ready for the bit when it comes tomorrow- also it saves me going back for it, and taking it back again tomorrow- this way it just needs collecting tomorrow). Just off to roll the dough balls out now as BM has just beeped, maybe sit down and do some knitting too.

Once again, hello all, from the madness that is my desk!
My list for after work today
Tuesday Twinkles - kitchen and dining room
level one
Clear and wipe work surfaces - matter of course here, with three furpeople who WILL NOT stay off the surfaces!
spend 15 minutes in a grotspot - noooo, can't face the oven tonight - better do the hob!
Level Two
Sweep and mop floors - will do after DH finishes painting newly wainscotted wall tonight
wash windows - can do tonight - means I'll be working over the other side of the room from DH who is painting (see above)
[strike]deweb these rooms[/strike] did this before started "wrecking" the place LOL
Level three
[strike]
Empty and clean out your bins!
[/strike]Did it this morning before leaving home (can you say "smug"?)
The kitchen isn't a complete wreck, but we are now in limbo waiting for the last quote to come in for the new boiler and other CH works. Once we get this underway, the utility will be ripped apart and remodelled - wall cupboard comes down to provide space for new wallmounted boiler; sink to be moved and electrics resited (because the sink is moving and points are in WRONG place vis a vis water+electricity= ). Sink move requires new worksurface, under which the washing machine and tumble dryer will be resited.
Removal of boiler = new flooring as no floor tiles under old boiler. *sigh* (actually, no floor tiles under w/m or t/d for that matter).
What we will then have will be a utility and breakfast room -amazing how much space you can gain by rethinking the layout (and by getting shot of a humungous floorstanding 1980s boiler LOL).
The work in the kitchen is in preparation for a radiator to be moved as we are relocating the fridge and freezer to the kitchen and there is a badly located radiator where we need the f&f to go. Thus the new wall treatment on the wall where the radiator is moving to had to be completed.
Bit long-winded, but the upshot is that I am cooking in a building site:rotfl: . Hey Ho! I'm told it'll be over by Christmas............Obedient women are never remembered in History!

Hi Guys
I'm not strictly new here...I had to re register as my hyphen button has stopped working and there was one in my username so couldn't log on!!!!! So previously known as luby lou (some of you may remember me?!) here I am again. OK, so the username thing is not really the reason for slacking off all this time...if I'm completely honest I fell off the bandwagon......there it is....I've owned up......My name's (now) Sunnygirl and I'm a flylady failure!!!!!!
My house is a tip and its time for some action. Only got 15 mins before I've got to get LO up for school run so here goes 15 min challenge.
Oh, and seen as though I've been absent I'll post my xmas tree so I can be added to the list.
