  • Hi,

Hope everyone is well and welcome newbies/returners. So far today I've showered, done errands and done laundry. My aims for the rest of the day are to do more errands and laundry, tidy up and wash up

Wii advisors please - does this seem a good deal? The console, a controller and a nunchuck (????) with a free game which is the one my dd really would like for £179 with HMV. I have some vouchers for surveys with them so can get it for £165??? I've seen the game for sale between £24 and £34.

Do I then need to get another controller and another nunchuck?? I'm guessing I can get this next month to spread out the cost? Do I go for it? xx

But I did do the sitting doing nothing bit on the extras!

I've caught up with the posts - I keep saying that!

Hugs to johanne - I agree with what the others say, they've put it better than I can.

pigpen - yep, done the dressing bit. Strongly recommend spraying said 17 year old with Lynx or similar before starting:D

mudbath - sorry you're not feeling great, and hope you feel better soon.

moam - glad the appt went well - always better to know what you're dealing with! There's loads of support for pupils with dyslexia.

Hi to all the newbies! You're doing well!

Okay, off to have another coffee, and then will tackle the living room, as it didn't get done yesterday as I was working.
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be

Johanne - so sorry to hear about your troubles. Having a baby does change a relationship, and sadly some men just can't cope with no longer being the centre of attention (bit like children themselves really). Maybe some time apart will help put things into perspective for him. It's a bit rotten to send you a text to tell you it's all over though.

Mudbath - that sounds like a reasonable deal for the wii. Especially if it includes another game that your DD would like. It is handier to have another controller and nunchuk but you can get by without them.
Last year it was difficult for me to get another controller but a sales assistant told me there is not really a problem this year.
He also told me that wii's and wii fit's are being sold in 'bundles' and it might be difficult to get hold of either as time goes on. A few internet sites have them in stock this year. It's maybe worth shopping around a little bit - but not leaving it too long!

Phoned the chimney sweep and he was here within half an hour and cleaned the chimney for us. As I suspected it was chock-a-block and probably hadn't been swept for a long time. Didn't fancy a chimney fire and the firemen hosing all the soot into the lounge:eek:. Smells a bit sooty, but he's left it all spotless! Now we can have cosy fires at night (except it seems a shame to make it all dirty again :rotfl:)

I've arranged for the carpet to be delivered on Thursday morning.

While he was here I did all my ironing, and now need to do the kitchen surfaces, then turn up three pairs of DS's new trousers (amongst several sewing jobs I need to do).

Thanks Amanda - I know my dd really wants the game with this bundle so it makes it an even better deal. I've shopped around a bit and think this is the one to get......it's just daring to press that 'buy' button!:rotfl:

I would go for the wii, Mudbath. I ordered DS's wii last year around this time and I was so glad I did! It was also such a relief that the 'big present' was bought!

He jokes about it now and says 'whose wii is it anyway?' as OH and I play on it just as much!! I can honestly say it was money well spent!!:j

It's ordered:eek: !! If they change their minds about what they want now it's tough!!! Santa is now officially on strike in this house - everything sorted now. Thankyou for the advice!

Mind you - maybe I shouldn't have ordered it until I'd seen how much our cat is going to cost at the vet tonight!!! Something is oozing out of her ear. Sorry if that's too much information!!
