Nothing ventured, nothing gained. You won't lose something more precious in its place - honest!
Talking of lost things, just had the bizarrest incident.Went to Homebase to get some paint. About 7 months ago, I went to Homebase and used a handy little £1 coin sized thing on a clip on my keyring to get a trolley with. About a week later, I realised it was missing from my keyring. Though it must have dropped off and got lost and thought nothing more about it.
Today, when I got back into my car in the Homebase car park, I moved something on the passenger and lo and behold, there was the £1 token!!!! Really, really spooky! The passenger seat has been cleaned and mucked out many times since I last saw the thing and today, it was just THERE.....I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Ah now I would have done that, but she left the house at 10.30am and when she got back the parents of the girl who's house she's gone too were waiting outside, I think they would have got a bit annoyed to have to have waited around for her too long :rotfl:
However boy has done practically everything on his list. The only things he has to do is find his library book but we've all looked and not found it yet so it's probably in a pile I've made! And he has to get his stuff together for the morning but I'm going to get him to do that after 5ish as by then his school clothes should be dry  So by the end of the day Sunday will be completely tickedFluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Eeeeek! I said that boy could have 30 minutes on the x-box and put the timer off, it just went off and he came straight off! That's a first as usually I have to count to 5
I don't think he wants to be stuck on the stairs for 6 minutes...muhahahah!

lil_me & pigpen - take it easy ladies, sounds like you both need a rest. (easier said than done I know).
ss & dusty - in my experience (as a youthworker not a parent!) the most important thing is to stick to boundaries and threats. The family I worked with which had the most problems, I believe could all be traced back to that lack of respect / boundaries / following through.
soappie - how weird, good luck with the painting, hope you don't get too splattered!
I trekked all the way to boots where the instant photo thingy is with my memory stick full of work pics to print (expensive but quick way of doing it and of course I'm not paying) and the bl**dy thing wouldn't take a memory stick. I was so mad I felt like crying (must be PMT i don't usually stress at little things!). Didn't want to waste any more of my weekend on it by trekking into town so am gonna put them on cd and hope there's a machine at one of the boots in one of the stations I can travel via in the morning.
For now I'm sitting with a cuppa and going to watch last week's spooks.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
I'm impressed as this is only the second day of time tokens! :T Although that could be why it's working as it hasn't lost it's charm :rotfl:
Just wish they'd work better with me! Although when they're doing their 15 minutes of tidying I feel bad sitting down and playing so I need to move as well
Plodding through the kitchen at the moment. I've told my dad I'll do tea so I have 3 hours to clear enough space to sit down! Although I would like my parents and Mr G to walk in and collapse at the side of a pristine kitchen! :rotfl:Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!
