Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh! Still looking for boy's library book. I can picture it which is most annoying...although saying that when I do find it it'll probably look completely different :rotfl: Wondering whether I should write back just confirming that he hasn't taken it back to school already because I'm getting nowhere fast at the moment.
Ok so far today I have:
Emptied, filled the dishwasher and stuck it on.
Washed a bowlful of dishes.
Emptied the washing machine, filled it again and put it on.
Hung up wet clothes.
Folded some dry clothes.
Cleaned the hob.
Cleaned the work surface next to the hob.
Tried looking for boy's library book.
Started tidying my desk.
I hope to by tea time do the following:
Empty dishwasher and start filling it
Empty washing machine and fill it again
Hang up wet washing
Fold the rest of the dry washing
Clear my desk or as much as I can
Tidy the floor around my chair in the study
Get to my workdesk so I can do some more silversmithingFluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

You will be feeling stressed and if you're internalising it you will end up with something IYSWIM
Wish Greenbee was here - she would point you in the direction of appropriate things to do and take.
A friend of mine ended up under the dermatologist and dietician with suspected IBS boils and allsorts when she and her partner were going through it, possibly because she was bottling a lot of it up over a long period of time.
Try to stay focussed and positive - not easy I know. The end of a relationship is like a bereavement in a way because the future you were expecting to have, planning for etc is now not going to happen. So you may well go through the grieving stages (I can't remember them all) which include shock, grief, guilt and anger. They may not all come, they may not come in that order.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Afternoon all
One load of washing done. It was outside for a couple of hours but it's pouring with rain and windy now so it's strewn about indoors.
Went shopping with DD2 and got myself a bath mat and some more paint and a dust sheet. All exciting stuff.
Done the normal tidying up downstairs. Bathroom is still being painted so that seems to mean stuff all over the kitchen worktops and right the way along the landing and in my bedroom........I do hope it's finished today so I can finally get myself straight.
Off to catch up with reading now. Hope people are OK.0 -
Footstool has just been finished but I now have a kitchen ceiling to paint
DiL's father came over and has removed the old kitchen light fitting and artexed the area where it was (stupid builders artexed round it rather than under it!). He'll fit the new light once it's dry. Of course, the whole ceiling needs painting now because the new artex is very different to the old artex. So I suggested he didn't come back until Tuesday at the earliest to fit the new light as it's better to paint without the fitting there.
So, I will now dash out and buy some paint then get all of it done except the newly artexed bit this afternoon and then finish off the new artex tomorrow evening when I get in from work. ~sigh~ - a woman's work is never, ever done!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
