Hi Elan
You need to PM Zavarony with your overpayment for the month and total of the year to date. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
No overpayment for me this month I' afraid
.
I'm trying to re-mortgage at the moment so overpaying is on hold until it goes through and then I will start again.
Well done to everybody whose managed to overpay :T, the overall total is looking fab!

February overpayment made £540 :j with the new mortgage rate drop I could potentially be Mortgage free in 52 months...............doubt the rate will stay so low for long but its a nice thought anyway:rolleyes:

Hi all,
not been on for a couple of days and am amazed at how fast the thread is moving....
Great news about the interest rates - that should (fingers crossed) mean that my rate goes down to 1.69% - am so hoping that they pass the cut on again, for a couple of months at least until my intorductory rate finishes....
Ive updated all the totals that I have sent so far and think Ive picked up others from the thread - wow nearly £82k so far
I know its a pain, but it would do me a massive favour if you could let me know your month & year to date figures plus the number that you are on the first post, our family is growing so quickly that I cant always find you :rotfl:
If Ive missed you - sorry (as always) let me know and I will ammend

Hi Lynne - give us a holler if you want adding to the first post and what target you want to aim for :A

Hi,
Im afraid I havent manage to pay any extra to my mortgage for this year as yet. I havent really posted on this thread either. January was a busy month money wise, im hoping for February that it will be different.
Is it still okay to be involved in this challenge even though I havent overpaid as yet?

Hi Jackie, there are still 329 days left to overpay in!
Personally I've found the thread an inspiration, even when I couldn't overpay. I struggled last November but reading other people's posts on the thread kept me in the right mindset to make an OP in January rather than spending the unexpected windfall on treats :j0 -
Hi Zavarony and everyone else
I started this year with a mortgage of £146,500 aiming to get to £142K by the end of the year then got so carried away I reduced this so now I'm aiming for £136,500 - which would be 10k in a year! I'm at £141,538 as of today
Please can you add me to the list - I'm lucky enough to be on a rate of 3.04 for the majority of the mortgage but it's the extra borrowing at 4.84% that I'll be getting rid of first. This year I have a family loan of £9,500 to repay as well but next year I'll be aiming for £15k. I want to have my mortgage repaid by the time I'm 40 as I've had various mortgages for 10years now so I need to keep up the 15k a year - and find an extra year's overpayments from somewhere!"I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."
