    Good Morning All

Frazzmunch - if you mean the bread then I slice it (am lucky enough to have a slicer) then if I know we wont eat it all in 1 go I freeze it in 4 slice portions. HM Bread freezes lovely.

Loved James Bond yesterday, really good. Kids loved it as well but OH wasnt as keen. Came home and watched Strictly.

OH off in a while to do another load of washing at dsis' (she is not an early riser) then think that will cover us until our machine is repaired. I will probably spend most of the day ironing, breaking off to cook roast pork

Ds has football at 12 but I need to stay in as have Tesco order coming.

Enough waffling - have a lovely Sunday.

    Mornin
Its horrible here in Brum, wet and drizzly, to think the last couple of weeks I was in Spain in the lovely hot sunshine....Ah well back to earth with a bump.....
Did all the washing mountains of it, so I suppose I should iron it all today.
Daisychain what a great find, thats like getting 2 weeks "free" shopping :T

    PP xx

ivfmummy ooo apple chutney my favourite, we had an apple tree once but it was so old and it got diseased so we had to have it taken down, and then the pear tree never ripened after that, something to do with cross pollination the tree surgeon said.

Guess who forgot to get the meat out of the freezer last night :o
I was going to do chicken, but thats out the window now, so have got some braising beef out and will have that, all cut up and done in the SC.
We dont eat until tonight so it should be ok by then.

Thats about it for my Sunday, no visit from DS1 and DIL today as they are on a cruise in the Carribean. No I am not jealous....much.....ah well good luck to them they work hard enough for it.

Welcome to all you newbies, and I hope everyone has a good day xx

Hello everyone :D I haven't posted here in a while either, though I read around the boards most days. I couldn't do without my daily exposure to MSE .. it keeps me on the straight and narrow.

I've had my remoska for almost two months now and I've only used my oven once since we got it. I can't believe I dithered about for a week before buying it! I made Yorkies in it yesterday, using the silcon fairy cake holders (as described by an OSer on the Remoska thread) and they were wonderful. Today I think I'll try bread rolls.

Like Essex-girl we freeze our home-made bread. We got a Kenwood slicer from Lakeland and we freeze the bread in two slice portions. I batch make soup for our packed lunches and each weekday morning I take out a portion of soup and a the frozen two slices of bread for each of us. Saves us lots of time and money. I have to say that I don't use the slicer myself - OH does that as I don't trust myself to be near a revolving blade!
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D

Morning everyone. OH is showing me how to make a Victoria sponge later. Could be interesting.

Not much planned for today, trying to get back on track after the funeral on Friday. Talk about mixed emotions, goodbye Gran & hello to my two new nieces. My sister adopted them a few months ago and as they live in that London, we haven't had time to meet them until Friday. They are sisters aged one & two, went over to mums last night & they were 'helping' my mum make scones, OSers already. The flour was every where, the one year old was trying to use the cutter, some interesting shapes I can tell you. And the two year old wanted to wash up! Best night we have had for ages, no tv just messing about.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you are doing.

    Morning all.

Had friends round for dinner last night so I'm making the most of having a tidy house today.
Last few bits to tidy up - did a lot of it last night before I went to bed.

DH is about to set off down to the allotment - mumbling and chuntering because I've loaded him up with compostables, 3 dead pumpkins, a load of egg boxes and varius other things I'm fed up of seeing here. In my defence, I've made him a lovely packed lunch - he even has some pringles and salsa to dip them in.

Chicken casserole is on for tonight - should be enough to do tomorrow night too. DH picked up two packs of chicken thighs and drumsticks for a fiver from Morrisons. The pack I've used today has 8 pieces in. Just used Carrots and Potatoes, with an Asda packet mix. Does anyone know a recipe to make the liquid up yourself?

Other than that, not much doing. Going to sit and read Good Housekeeping from cover to cover I think. My mum bought me a subscription as a Christmas Present and I've been thoroughly enjoying it.

    Have a good day all,

    Morning folks

Going into Plymouth today to get non slip matting for my new cupboard - dont want to scratch the paint with my tins. Will also get ingredients for laundry gloop. I expect I will perus the Christmas stock as well :D
Apart from that, might make an apple pie, have to sort the freezer out as did not do it yesterday and possibly some butternut squash soup.

I went to a fireworks display in Tavy last night, put on by the Lions club - it was quite good, better than I thought it was going to be, except there was no bonfire and it was £4 entry. Oh well, all for a good local cause I suppose.

    Breakfast is cereal probably
    Lunch is leftover cottage pie
Dinner is Hungarian Goulash, with boiled pots and veg

    Have a good one

    Morning all,

Dry and bright here, but its cold, had the heating on yesterday for a few hours, the house was cold after us being away for the week. Got a wash on and another two or three to go, but I will put this one on the line and then get out for a nice long walk with little dog.

Not sure whats for dinner yet, will nip into MR T later, and see what they have on offer, I fancy a nice roast with lots of veggies.

Penny, sorry to hear about your chooks, how terrible.

Snowy, how is Dylan ? hope he is still producing :T

    Have good days all xx

    Morning peeps :hello: :hello:

Just had a good read of the end of yesterdays thread

Anniestar - What a lovely post, wish you would tell us more I very much doubt anyone will be bored - best 3 days of your life - mmmmm im intrigued
Rzl - I am very worried about your overstocking of wine - please let a fellow OSer help you out with it all:D
Pandy - I knew you would become a soup expert - hows the challenge going?
Glad - Hope the tree gets removed ok today - watch out for the wood burner OSers they will be round with their saws:D

Had an odd night last night - I was enjoying X Factor when the door went and it was one of my neighbour's mum (83) she told me she had had a row with her daughter and she had kicked her out:eek:  she asked me if I would walk with her to the main road where she could get a cab - well we live in the sort of estate where taxis dont just pass by. I would have run her myself but too much wine had been enjoyed:o Anyway I gave her a drink and about an hour later the neighbour came round took her home - she said she assumed she was sitting in the car:eek: Ok I dont know the whole story but it sounds awful cruel leaving an old lady in close to 0 temperatures in a car - no thanks just a nasty glare - very strange.

Anyway today is my turn for sunday dinner for another set of neighbours (nice ones:T ) so Im doing chicken , yorkies, roasties, colcannon, and carrot and swede may get some sausage too to wrap in bacon

Have a peaceful sunday all and please dont throw your grannys out in the cold:rotfl:
