Running a cartel?
http://www.centrica.com/index.asp?pageid=49
The explainations for the prices we are being charged for gas just do not seem to stand up to scrutiny, the price of gas was supposedly linked to the price of oil when the price of oil shot up, but miraculously it seems to have decoupled it self now that the price of oil has collpased.
The chairman

Note that he is a Non-Executive Director of the Bank of England!!
No wonder the econmy has collapsed.
Also until June 2008, he was Chairman of Mitchells and Butlers plc which is a brewery (drug dealer),
seems like he could not run a p*** up in a brewery :rotfl:

How about you set up your own gas company and then we can all benefit from your amazing insight and knowledge into the gas markets.
Or can you please stop making numerous posts about illegal cartels, gas price fixing and spot market prices. If you want to post about how prices relate to retail market prices then please enlighten me. But I am getting a bit tired of seeing loads of links slamming energy providers.0 -
Agree with Monkey1984 if you think you can do a better job running an energy company go on then.0

Sure, I will have to look into setting up a gas company but that looks difficult when you have a cartel in control. I mean there does not seem to be a wholesale market for UK
gas, I wonder why that is. It is not quoted on any stock exachange like UK oil
or USA gas.
Bit odd that?
Smells like a cartel.
I will post what I like if the companies deserve a slamming they will get one, no doubt about that, I care not for you whinging about what you would like to see posted.
If you want me to post that the gas companies are doing a great job than I have to inform you that you are living in cloud cuckoo land because that won't be happing
for a very long time by the sound of it.
Everyone has to pay their prices the market does not justify them.
It is no wonder they are making record profits, it is scandalous.
Why don't you want to hear about that?
Do you work for a gas company by any chance? There are a few here who do.0 -

Well when the current lot are banged up in jail I will give it a go.
However it seems a prerequisite for being a director of Centrica, British Gas
seems to be to have worked in the drinks industry, ie, have been a drug dealer.
That explains a lot about their morals.0 -

No I do not work for a gas company and secondly if you were serious about setting up a gas company go on the OFGEM site plenty of information on there about how to obtain a shipping license for gas.
How do you know the prices aren't justified if you cannot see the prices - The information must be somewhere its just that you do not know where to look - Most likely because if you took time to read the license you would obtain from OFGEM would allow you access to gas markets.
You on the other hand like a whinge and expect people to jump up on your bandwagon. Why couldn't you post all 3 of your threads in 1? Because you hope that your scaremongering will bring a 'Call to arms'.
If its to much and you detest paying so much for it - Don't use gas. Don't use electric. Generate your own - What do you have to lose - Imagine all that money you will save.
Just out of interest what do you do for a job?0 -

.
Why should I need to set up a gas company to complain about a cartel?
That is a riduclous suggestion.0 -
Just like how tea is a drug? Does that mean the PG tips monkey is also a drug dealer?
Well caffine is indeed a drug but a mild one, alcohol however kills tens if not hundreds of thousands of people a year and is dangerously addictive and dependance forming.
I don't know anyone who has died form drinkinig tea, we all know several who have
been killed by alcohol. You can start the list if you like.0 -

What do I do for a job? I am a corruption investigator. It's more pleasure than work though.0
