Wanted Wooden Cat Tree
Comments

We bought a 6ft+ one early 08 from EBay for £30..2 boys ripping the hell out of it, not had an issue yet..heh. It rocks a bit when they go hell for leather on it, but I never fitted the bit that clamps it to the roof for stability. I preferred to use cord to tie it to an immovable object.0

Thankyou for all your input....
The Ikea cactus tree is EXCELLANT.
Will try to attach picture later.
Its over 6 ft tall attaches to the wall so is very sturdy. Made of woven cane and has ledges at the back that both my mittens lay on.

When I opened this I was thinking, cats don't grow on trees, do they?!
We got one made by a friend, it's about 4' tall and is (or was!) covered in the sort of rope that's on scratching posts. It's got a big base on it so it doesn't fall on them and they think it's wonderful
The rope looks a bit worse for wear now but it is well worth having. 0 -
These all sound such great ideas, think I may well have to invest in for my kitten as he doesn't like his scratching post - he prefers my furniture:eek:Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0

Well I'm getting a replacement ceiling attachment for my zooplus cat tree - I suppose it will do while I save up for a decent wooden one.
I need one that will survive more than seven months with two cats and a kitten!
Mine use the cat tree to get up on top of my tall oak unit where my other half kindly put a cat bed for them. They then jump from the top of said unit onto my new leather couch. :eek:Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
