Wanted Wooden Cat Tree

Spookylukey this one looks the cats whiskers pardon the pun.... how big are you mittens now? Is it quite robust?
They're big boys now, 6kg and 5kg. It's very robust and also stable due to the design. They swing like monkeys from it while playfighting, leap on each other, climb in and out of the ladder rungs, bat and chew the ball, jump in and out of the tunnel at the bottom and when they're finally exhausted they squish up on the top platform together. It's used every single day for scratching, sleeping and playing and while it's more expensive than the cheaper cardboard tube variety I'm sure it will last their lifetime0 -
Thanks Spookylukey,
Did you buy this from a cat show or directly from the firm?

Its a great idea but living in MK its nowhere near the sea?
Shame though.
Another "cheap" solution then.. Get up the Aspley/Woburn woods and find some fallen branches with good loose bark - will prob do the same job! If you are lucky the dog will drag them back to the car for you!Garantissez-moi de mes amis, je saurai me defendre de mes ennemis0 -
with good loose bark
:rotfl: OMG - the mess!!0 -

I got it directly from the company, you couldn't order online when I bought it (18 months ago) so I paid over the phone - the website seems to have online ordering now though. It came by courier in 3 parts (delivery is included in the price) and I just had to attach the 3 segments together, all the holes were pre-drilled so it took a matter of minutes.0 -
Hi thanks for all the feed back - Any other places?

Morning (well it is after 12!),
What I did was go down to the local carpet shop and asked if they had any off cuts they didn't want. I got two, one I use as a door mat, the other I've nailed to a piece of wood and the cats use that, I know they can't climb on it and stuff but I figure they have the furniture and me to do that on! Plus they used to claw the carpet and since I did that they have stopped doing it.0 -
I've just bought a 5' cat tree from ebay. £30 plus £10 postage and it's ace. However, the part where cats can hide and/or sleep would only suit a kitten or small cat.

My kitten is only going to be a wee girl when she's fully grown, so this should suit her for several years. She loves it and it's great to hide treats around

Sorry to resurrect this older thread but I bought a cat tree from zooplus about seven months ago and it's not great.
It sways every time my cats jump up on it which isn't much use and the part that attaches to the ceiling has now broken! Zooplus are refusing to replace the cat tree or refund it because I'm outwith six months (just)!
I wish I had bought a good quality wooden one now :mad:Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £18,500 Car loan CC 0% BT £3540 CC 0% Holiday flights £940. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0
