Thanks, I got one today. I sometimes read Glamour anyway so made sure I picked up a copy. Got the pale pink.

You probably had grease on the nail plate then, which would stop the colour adhering properly to it, and allow it to peel off. You can wipe over your nails with nail varnish remover just before applying a base coat, then the colour (as soon as it's dry, but not after going and doing stuff that might get the nail 'dirty' again). If it's still peeling off you may have a PH imbalance in your nail and a lot of the professional brands have PH neutralisers in their range to counteract this. I have to say I usually use OPI, however have actually been really impressed with these Nail Inc colours as usually other brands (other than OPI) tend to chip on me, but these haven't yet after a couple of days and have given nice coverage.

Good way of helping prevent chips at the top as well is to do a thin sweep across the tip of the nail, then one or two thin coats of colour over the entire nail, and if you have particular issues with chipping you can use a top coat.

    Hope that helps someone :)

Thanks for your comments pixiepie but i am a qualified nail technician and know how to properly apply nail varnish and how to prep the nail before you start. I also coat the tip of my nail with clear nail varnish to avoid chipping and help the color last longer as i sometimes airbrush my nails.

I dont know i was unlucky enough to have 3 faulty bottles or not but i have found that the inbetween priced nail varnishs are a lot better. Virgin V Nail varnish is very good that lasted for 2 weeks without chipping :T

  • I got the 2 darker shades, Victoria and Tate and are realy pleased with them.

I normaly use Chanel but find that it chips badly. I used the Victoria one on Sunday and today there is only a very small chip on my thumb so I will be looking to buy more, even at the full price.

I have to say i am very dissapointed in this nail varnish considering its meant to be worth £10.50. It doesnt even last 24 hours before it start peeling and it actually peels off the whole of the nail in one bit just like a face mask
i usually use cheap tat that chips within minutes.

with this one i used 3 coats, no basecoat and it only started to chip after 2 days. Im more than happy!!!!!!! good solid thick polish :D

although my right hand chipped badly as i didnt apply it properly!
  • got mine today hurrah! 2 copies left in local smiths, me and another girl reached for them at the exact same time, if there had only been one left it could've kicked off hehe!

mine came with piccadilly circus (hot pink). i've put one coat on my little finger nail and it seems to be holding up pretty well. i'm impressed so far :-) will be keeping my eyes open for the light pink one...
