Thankyou everyone, I got the magazine AND my preferred colour Victoria (dark red cherry) on my first attempt this time (as opposed to my umpteenth attempt when looking for the copy of Eve magazine with free mascara) from my local Sainsburys on the 12th so a very happy me
They must literally be flying out of the shop cos when i got a copy there were about 5/6ish more copies including all the colours available which was good to see, but when my cousin got there 2/3 hours later there was none! Grabbit while you can!! :rotfl: 0 -
Loving my light pink "South Molton Street" - Two coats last night and no chipping as yet. Needed to be careful for the first hour or so after application as it seemed to take quite a while to dry properly.
Me and my friends buy this brand of varnish anyway as it's so good, so a brilliant freebie for us!0 -
I also bought all four of them and then went to buy two additional copies of the Molton Street as I absolutely loved the colour. I am on my fifth day since applied it and no chip in sight - and I have been to the gym / done washing/ typing etc. Would recommend!0

September wins - Quizonaut - Stress-out CD , Keno.com $43.500 -
Having tried this out, yeah the colours are nice but the quality of the polish is lacking. On the gloopy side, cheap brush applicator - not good. Let's see how long it lasts0

Seeing as there is nail tech's in the house can anyone tell me why nail varnish doesnt dry properly on me. if i have more than one coat it just refuses to dry even if i sit there for hours doing nothing. I ha a manicure once and by the time i was down the end of the road its was a mess. I got home and got out the remover!
As for the nail varnish i don't quite believe most of the freebies on the front of magazines having been sending magazines back for years in a newsagents and being able to take the freebies off the front. (alas no longer) Most of the stuff is poor quality produce made under license and you can usually find a label that says where it is from.
I've looked at the nails inc bottle on the front of glamour and I wasnt impressed. it looks cheap and if it had been on a shelf id have walked right by it. tops don't look right
Tell you what does amuse me though.. how many bottles have found their way onto Ebay!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::heart2:Got Married 1st may '10!:heart2:

Agree with you on the tops, they are slightly too large on two of my bottles, but it's not too bad - and certainly worth the £2
With regards to it not drying on you - if it was the same when you went and had a pro job, it might be a bit of a mystery without actually seeing your nails, as hopefully they did a correct job on you, however perhaps they were a bit pants (said very tongue in cheek
). Basically, make sure you are using very thin coats of polish, and make sure each layer is *completely* dry in between layers - this can take up to an hour to be *completely totally utterly set as stone* dry with some brands. I know it's a massive faff and generally undoable with real life going on, but try giving it a go one night when you are doing *nothing* but watching films or something (get someone else to pop the popcorn in your mouth for you! :rotfl:) and see if that helps. Also using a really excellent polish can help - which can be annoying if you have to go through different brands to see which suits you (and expensive). I like OPI (Jessica and Malava are quite good as well imho) - if you try and find a stockist near you they have testers a lot of the time so you could try a very thin layer on just one nail and wander off to see it is takes - any polish will take about an hour to be really really set, if you've done a couple of coats, so you may just have to go with the long evenings plan - or just use a buffer to get a really nice shine on them.
Hope that helps a bit
