  • Just to let you know that as a result of some packs reaching stores later than planned the closing date for receipt of applications on this offer has been extended from 30th April until 31st May 2010.

    Hello!

We have noticed some queries relating to our Try Me Free offer currently in store.

Please note the Terms & Conditions of the offer allow for only one application for up to 3 different participating products per household.
Participating products: Guacomole, Salsa, Soured Cream, Tortilla, Table Sauce

If you have applied for a refund of more than one of the same product type (e.g. 2 Guacomole) your refund will be adjusted to reflect the maximum allowable according to the terms of the offer.

We hope this clarifies the situation.

Just a flag up of possible future problems.
I was trying to chase persil over a missing claim from 2009 and i was advised that they weren't going to pay out as i had claimed to many times over the last couple of years.
Just to make clear i only make one claim per household, I am hoping this is a one off but persil is owned by unilever so surf may be affected too.
I am keeping an eye and see what happens with Surf.

Do people think i should send them a letter or just give up on them ??
As you may remember, I too was having trouble with Persil, and indeed still have one claim unresolved but so far also unpersued, (must get around to doing it but know it'll be a rough ride!). With one of 'my' addresses, I first e-mailed and then wrote a letter but had totally no response to either. It was finally resolved by phone on my 2nd attempt. They sent vouchers, after claiming 'lost in the post', 'inappropriate reason' etc etc. Good luck! I avoided the Surf and looks like I shall stear clear of future Persil offers now, although, like you, I only apply once from each address per offer.

I'm trying to make a list of all the McDougall products that are on TMF at the minute. The way I read the T&C's, you can try a pack of each product that is on TMF per household (please correct me if I am wrong anyone) so there's quite a few products to try and dislike ;):money:;)

Also I note that in some areas products have the special labels (which you need to send back to them), in other areas they don't. I am sure it won't have by passed seasoned MSEr's that the "satisfaction" label you have to cut out and return is the same on all products and there are 3 on each packet. So,........or example, if you can only find mince & onion pies on TMF but you cut out all 3 labels and you know that chicken pies are on TMF, but aren't labeled as such in your store, you can buy the chicken pies and send receipt plus one of the "satisfaction" labels form the mine & onions pies. (Does that make sense to you?).

So far I have found TMF "satisfaction" labels on:
4 pack of mine & onion pies ("do you agree these pies taste better than other mine & onions pies")
4 pack of chicken pies ("do you agree there's more chicken in pies then birds eye chicken pies/")
2 pack of brocoli & chicken lattice

can anyone else add to the list please?:money:
Totally agree with your interpretation of offer. Have you sent for/received more than one variety yet at same address?

In regards my Persil problem i will wait and see what happens with the surf offer as i have already sent off the claims, If i get any joy with them i might just send a letter and see what happens,
I think the moral of the game is that you win some and lose some and overall it's about saving money on products and trying new things out.
Persil playing their games won't stop me from trying !!!

In regard to the Mcdougalls pies, i have found a few packs of the mince onion and chicken but not many and no brocoli and chicken.

I am still on the look out of them and builders tea bags!!!

I think you'll find that the only major supermarket that sells Builder's Tea is Morrisons. HTH.

It looks like the McDougall's offer will be disappearing sooner rather than later after Birds Eye took out an injunction (!), so I'd recommend picking up the promo packs asap. Read more at http://www.thegrocer.co.uk/articles.aspx?page=articles&ID=207809

Spotted this on a big display in WHSmith today. Not sure it's a "true" TMF... but a few people might be interested!

The BiC Cristal Medium allows you to ramble on like no other pen. And BiC are so confident about how far it writes, they’ll give you £10 cash if you can finish one before the closing date!

Buy a promotional ‘Challenge BiC’ pack of 10 BiC Cristal Medium Black pens between 1st April and 31st December 2010 and keep your receipt safe. Then, download an application form at http://www.challengebic.co.uk – where you’ll also find full details of the promotion. You must then use all the ink in your pen so that there’s none visible in the cartridge, and the pen can no longer write. DON’T damage it, tamper with it, take it apart, put holes in it, or chew it. Then send in your pen – no earlier than 30 days after the date of purchase, but by 31st January 2011. You must also include your receipt, the completed application form, and the empty BiC Cristal Medium black promotional 10-pack packaging too. Your pen must also turn up in one piece and not be damaged in transit. Providing ALL the rules are met, you’ll receive a cheque for £10 (up to a maximum of 10 applications - i.e. £100 - if you work in an office and your colleagues wish to join in).

Good luck to anyone who rises to the challenge!!
