yayyyyy, the weekend ! (well, if you don't count AQA as being my weekend!)

Snags - I know we've already chatted privately but just to re-emphasise - I would much rather be in the position I am with my ex now than the last few years we spent together. Whilst he is basically a good guy, we grew apart after meeting young and sometimes I still think 'where did it all go wrong' - but I know where it went wrong and I wouldn't want to go back there now.

It's better for you both to be able to be 'friends' and amicable than married and constantly wanting out.

I've turned down the chance to go to a party with cheap booze tonight, really because we wouldn't know anyone other than 1 couple who have invited loads of people we don't know.

I've also got a mild dilemma over a job that has come up today, with the same organisation, but a different department altogether. It's basically an admin manager with complaints officer and health and safety responsibility thrown in along with other bits. It's a kind of 'further up the ladder' version of what I'm currently doing and I reckon I could do it as much of what I do would map over and I've got the managerial experience from my previous career. However, it's full time, which I don't really want, but the salary (20-26k) would mean I wouldn't have to do AQA other than saving up for stuff, even if they put me at the bottom of the scale - which they would do.

Thing is, I love where I work now, the people, the job, the 4 minute journey to work etc. However, when we move next summer, that will all stop and unless something very juicy is offered, I'll be looking to change jobs anyway.

The new structure isn't due out until at least March and whilst from my 'chat' I know there could be possibilities of some excellent new jobs, I'm in a quandry as to whether to jump ship now . I've had my end of probation salary 'increase' and am now on a princely £7.51 per hour rather than £7.33 for my admin job  and it ain't enough for a part time job when I pay the mortgage etc on my own (the teaching is £17 an hour but that isn't guaranteed forever and only gets me around £100 a month extra after tax)

If I went full time, it would also be a bit full on with 2 nights teaching next term but I'd have to grit my teeth for 10 weeks but it might put the mockers on any more after that, time wise.
