*Daily Chat Thread* Friday 31st October

Morning - hope no-one minds me starting this, I could do with a chat.

Me and Stu had a last ditch attempt to save our marriage last night, but after talking for hours, we realise that we want different things, and separating is the only option.

I've been honest with him about everything, and he has been honest with me too. We are going to do things amicably, and hopefully be good friends once everything settles down.

I just feel heartbroken that we got to this point, I thought we would be together forever, but at least we tried, and we can start to move on.

I've got a doctors appointment later which I'm quite scared about so I could do with some positive vibes if anyone has any to spare.

Sorry to make this such a miserable start to the thread.

  • Plenty of positive vibes going spare here Snaggles- sending them all your way. Don't be sorry- it's not a happy situation you're in by the sounds of things but it seems like you're dealing with it as best you can.
I'm more of a lurker than a poster here on DFW but I've always found your posts honest and sensible, and I think it's obvious to everyone how much you care about your family.

The most important thing is not judge yourself on what has happened, but on how well you cope with it. Sending you hugs xx

  • Hi all, Hope we all have as good a last day of Oct as poss, and get set for our various challenges and goals in Nov.

Snaggles...So sorry for the way things have turned out... It could be that you both need time apart to rediscover yourselves, after all, something brought you together... If things are unlikely to be the same again at least try to be mates - its hard, trust me...

Sad thought it is snags at least you seem to have reached a somewhat mutual decision rather than you feeling it was all you. No one goes into marriage thinking its not going to be forever (well I did the first time but that is a different story!) but you are doing what is best for you and your children - although it may not seem it at times.

It is much better to have two happy parents apart than two miserable together...:grouphug:

As for my day, well its off to work and then its the weekend........:j

    Good morning

Snaggles - I guess you're feeling emotionally drained again. I'm so glad you and Stu were able to talk and recognise that you want different things for your future. Good luck when you see the doctor.(((hugs)))
