This should change the channels wirelessly, on most things, unless you have a cable box, in which case the answer is less certain as one or both the cable suppliers have chosen a non standard method of IR for channel changing.0
-
I've had a similar box for a few years.
There are a few things everyone should be aware of.
1) They use the same 2.4Ghz frequency that home wireless networks do so they may interfere
2) Quality of picture is not fantastic. Its fine for occasional watching but if you like picture quality, best avoid and pay for a proper aerial!
3) Most remotes can be sent by these models EXCEPT that many NTL boxes use IRDA instead of IR. This means you won't be able to change channels. Sky is fine though.0 -
For watching Sky on the 14" TV in the bedroom, picture quality is perfectly adequate. Obviously not as good as the original RGB output from the Sky box but slightly better than an analogue terrestrial picture. This space has been intentionally left blank0

also, worth being aware that most of these don't work with telewest.....0
-
The remote control part, I presume you mean - because Telewest boxes use the iRDA remote control protocol.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

does anyone know how to get around this problem...using a sender(with remote...change channels) with a telewest box...thanks..0

Does this sender carry rgb or is it only a composite signal?Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0

You need to use a Redeye Translator at the cable box end to convertkaan_is wrote:does anyone know how to get around this problem...using a sender(with remote...change channels) with a telewest box...thanks..
the infrared signal to the box. (It's needed for most ntl and TeleWest
cable boxes) For more details see

@ohreally, it's the composite signal not RGB. I don't believe that
any device (videosender type that is) is available to transmit
RGB wirelessly. It would need to be three channel plus sound.
