can anyone who has knowledge of this kind of thing please advise me about this.
Have sky connected to downstairs main tv, would this gadget work on any upstairs portable? Can't seem to get my head around you just sit it on top of the tv and it just picks up the sky from downstairs.
have I got this right or is there more to than that.
thanks

I got one of these a while back from Aldi. You connect transmitter unit to one of the Scart sockets on the back of your Sky/FreeView/DVD player/Whatever and the receiver unit connects to your other TV. On mine there are four 'channels' used for transmitting the signal. Make sure both the transmitter and the receiver are set to the same channel and that's pretty much it. The instructions will also explain how you can use your Sky/FreeView or whatever remote when viewing on the 'other' TV.This space has been intentionally left blank0

Could anyone tell me if this works with NTL, I alreday have NTL upstairs but can only watch what is on downstairs, from what I understand you can change channels with this, unless there is another way round of being able to change channels, sorry I am not very techie!

I bought this model from Toys r Us a few months back...and the manual clearly states that although you CAN watch ntl cable upstairs, you CANNOT change the channel from upstairs.
Hope that helps0 -
Don't expect great video quality from these things. Unless someone can advise me otherwise, I think they only accept composite video, which will mean you get smeared colours and crawly dots just like an analogue television receiver.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

I've posted three photos of the picture on my bedroom TV, which is on the receiving end of a Sky TV signal sent from the living room below....

It's worth noting that my wireless network is running and there is no visible interference. The downstairs setup is in the 4th photo. You will see the sender on top of the TV and the wireless router on the right hand speaker.
I should add that the perceived picture quality is better than that suggested by the photos, as the photos have introduced a strange matrix effect which is not visible to the naked eye. Also, the shading line half way down the snooker picture is as a result of TV scan lines and the shutter speed allowing about 1.25 full scans - it is not apparent to the eye.
The TV upstairs is a 21" and the picture quality is absolutely fine for that sized TV. I guess a 32" set might show a few flaws but it is 100% OK for bedroom viewing if not home cinema.0 -
I have Sky and Homechoice on the main TV downstairs. If I'm watching Homechoice, can I transmit Sky to a TV upstairs or do these things only transmit what you're currently viewing?
Thanks.0 -
hi everyone....
can anyone help on this please...is there any sender or device on the market that you are able to use to change the channels as well..0 -
I don't know what Homechoice is. But basically you connect the sender to some sort of output device - Sky, cable, DVD, VCR, PC and it will send whatever it sees. If Homechoice is delivered by something other than your Sky box then you can send anything you like from Sky without affecting your other viewing.0
