HI Sandra, What i meant was to minimise connections between phone line coming in and your modem/router. Our desktop PC is in spare room, wall socket is in hall so we need telephone extension in order to test hardwire connection by elimination. Our problem might be due to BT engineers we saw in the area today.

Does anyone know how to untick the 1571 box to see if it is that which is causing the trouble.
