Twins

Options
Hello,

I am 11 weeks pregnant and hubby and I went for our first scan this week. As the title suggests, we have found out we are having twins.

We never expected to hear this information at all. Two days later and I don’t think the news and sunk in even though we are elated.

For all of you who have twins, can you recommend any groups, internet or otherwise, that gives support to parents expect/have twins. Our heads are a little mashed and would really appreciate any info we get at the minute.

Many thanks in advance!

You've had that already I should think :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Congratulations on your news! I'm sure once you've recovered from the shock, it will all be plain sailing.

icklebeans - have a look on the netmums website and look at registering if you haven't already done so.

there is an article on there about multiple births and also a link the forum.

i did a search as a remembered a thread about triplets earlier this year.... perhaps worth a read

  • Congratulations - I have 3 year old twins an they are fabulous! I didn't go for the early scan so didn't find out til 20 weeks that I was having 2!

Just want to assure you that you can be a moneysaver and have twins. And also to encourage you... You will be given SO MUCH advise in the next few months. The important thing is to take good care of yourselves and enjoy the excitement - don't get me wrong there are times when it's hard work but it is so much fun!

People who you don't even know will probably take time out of their busy day to tell you horror stories about having twins but some how you don't always hear the good ones...

I had a great pregnancy (if a little too much sickness!), worked up until the night before I had them, I had them at 38 weeks, they weighed 7lb6 and 7lb7 and we came home the next day.

They adore each other and their big brother (most days!) and we are all ok! We don't have loads of money and I had to go back to work when they were small but we make it work - and more than that we are enjoying it!!

Sorry, this is a long post - and I don't mean to sound smug - I just know that not one person told me anything good when I found out I was having twins.

    CONGRATULAIONS - and enjoy!
