I think the parts Dell use won't be as good as the parts used by Mesh. However Mesh do have a bit of reputation for poor (even compared to Dell standards) cust services.

Have a look at this thread on a similar Mesh offer:

The parts Dell use are (apart from the motherboard) the same sort of things as Mesh, ie from decent big-name manufacturers.
  • Dell are a reputable company who've been around for some years. They also tend to make reliable machines.

If Mesh can offer the same, then maybe this is an OK deal.

For this price mesh use very good components and dell intergrate everything they can with the motherboard also the mesh one will be balanced and configured to run at a optimum speed.

If you want to upgrade your computer at a later date go for the mesh if your just into web browsing and woord processing stick with the dell its a little cheaper

As for customer service both are quite good when they want to be.

Check out reveiws in magazines on computer systems and you will find mesh score highly on every group test you never see dell systems getting any reviews.

Whats up with only 1 hard drive and why would you want to run a raid array?

This is a low range system so the graphics card is more than ample for the graphics this machine is aimed at.

And why would you want more ram unless your running virtually all your applications at once and even then if you were to double the ram to 1024 you would not see any difference to the naked eye whatsoever.

Yeah, I think it's a nicely priced system. It has a pretty big HD, decent graphics card and what sounds like a really good monitor. The Logitech keyboard and mouse are nice touches too.
