PPI Reclaiming discussion Part III

Hi hun
Your very welcome x
Right then, so its FirstPlus you write to - to complain.;)
Now this is your option hun if you want to cancel this, they still have to repay the whole lot of the PPI back to you as if you did not take the PPI with the loan from the start with the interest as well.
I don't think the repayments will come down by much though if you cancel now as its after the cooling period, and I think Marshallka who will most probably be back later can confirm this as she had a loan with this company.;)

Thanks Di,
I will get on with it tomorrow and will keep you informed how I get on!!
Might even try chasing some of the PPI's I had on the original loans/credit cards whose debts I settled when I took out the consolidation loan.
As long as I'm not trying to walk before I can crawl of course....:rotfl:

If you are self employed and paying class 2 contributions and often if you have been in continuous employment for 6 months then they may be right. Was this your only reason for misselling...??0

Hi
Update on my problems with RBS.
Have sent our 1st PPI letter and had it recorded delivery on Friday.
RBS called us to ask if we have copies of the agreements we have with them as they couldn't find them?
We queried that they had to keep our records for 6 years but they claim only computerised details not actual copies.....Anyway, I am holding out like a hero and I will wait for a reply.
They did comment how professional the letter was.....1st stage letter!!
Quite disappointed with their unprofessional attitude by asking us for copies but we will see!!

Hi Julie
Your right they should have copies of everything, on data/microfiche or whatever..... , let us know if you have any more problems here hun, because you can also contact the Information Commissioners office (ICO) who will be able to advise you in this case, as they SHOULD have all the data:
http://www.ico.gov.uk/
Good luck.;)

Natwest, its been about 4 weeks since i sent the reply accepting the offer, i would have thought 30 days was long enough and was thinking about phoning them to check that there had not been an error!
