Yesterday was ,d day for TPF, so i called them to find out what was happening to be told they would be writing to me this week. I reminded my case officer that 5/1/09 was the 8 week deadline and he told me to go to the ombudsman. Forms are printed off now, and ready to go in the post today. I will also send TPF another letter giving them 14 days to look at my complaint again.
Will let you know how i get on.:confused:
Has your case been passed over to someone else or is it still with your case worker. My case worker is Mr Chris Williams, but has been passed over to a Mr Glynn Rixom. I don't know if this is good news or bad. My deadline was up yesterday, and I will ring them on Wednesday to see what is happening. Will keep in touch to let you know how I get on

    Hi everyone

    Hope all are well.

Having a tea break, been dealing with Daniel and his work since 8am, he was ready and waiting at 7am this morning...... , he has all brand new exercise books and couldn't wait to use them lol.....:D .

Anyway, just to let you know the sickness claim is accepted as from October, but not just because of the depression but due to hubby's neck/shoulder problem where he was frequently back and forth for physio, as that was also noted on the doctor's disc, the back condition would not cover him as that one is pre-existing, but still cannot grumble and now its switched to unemployment as from 5 Dec 2008.

So thought I would let you know as this one was the one we were waiting to hear about.;)

Hope all are well, will read over the posts again later when I have more time.

Hope Marshallka is feeling better today.:A
Glad to hear tht Di... when did you claim from on the sickness side??

Hi folks, Happy New Year to all!!!

i'm relatively new to these boards, have posted before, and have a claim with HSBC and if ayone could offer any advice i would be very grateful.

When i took out my £4500 loan (interest is about 14.9% or 15.9) with HSBC they told me i couldnt get the money without taking out the insurance where if anything happened to me, the loan would be paid off. this took the total amount to about £7800, which i thought was way too much but took out the loan anyway as i needed to buy a car.

i sent off the MSE template letter around two months ago and have had two responses since. the first was a week (ish) after i sent out my letter and said they were sorry that i felt the need to complain and were going to look into my case and asked to allow them 4 weeks to do so.

I then received a second letter on the 5th of december saying they were sorry for the delay and stating that their investigations were not yet complete and asked for 4 weeks to finish their investigation.

i am now wondering what my next step is, should i wait for more correspondence or send them template number two? any advice is massively appreciated!

    Thanks very much!!!
You have to give them 8 weeks in total from when you first wrote and then if they have not responded with a final response by then you can take the complaint to the FOS without one.

Have you remembered to send everything recorded delivery too so you have a proof etc??

Had final reply from Lloyds TSB after 2 letters sent advising as we are unable to reach an agreement ive to go to the FOS! Which i am now doing. They will regret it as i have a feeling i am within my rights asking for a refund! Fingers crossed. I see some epople are having trouble with Lloyds x
Good luck with this one Leanne. Di also has a complaint in to Lloyds and they are disputing the adjudicators decision too.

    Hello everyone, Happy New Year!!

Ok here it goes, I haven't seen anyone write anything about reclaiming PPI on car finance. I regretfully got a car from welcome car finance (BIG mistake) and PPI was added onto it, they said i didn't have a choice, I had to have it or couldn't get the finance, stupidly I went ahead, not really knowning what i got myself into.

I sent a letter a good few months back to head office saying I writing to reclaim my PPI which I believe to be mis - sold to me. Haven't heard back yet. Which is typical from WF as i've wrote letters before regarding other problems and they never reply. So just wondering if I should write a second letter to WF or write the next one to the the financial ombudsman?

Also I was looking over the contract and I signed and dated it, the sales person signed it, but didn't date it, does that make is void or anything? Also some mistakes in my address and name.

Any advice would be great, thanks!! :D
So you have had NO response at all from them??

Did you send it all recorded delivery so you have proof of this. Also what year was the finance taken out??

Hi Marshallka, how do you mean when you say was my Nan given a choice of the 1st PPI- do you mean given an option for various cover and charges?

Andylad your Grandparents were treated shockingly, write one letter to the company concerned with your complaint mentioning not being able to cancel blackwidow and both people not being covered on new policy. Also check the policy, over 65's are sometimes not covered in policys so would your Nan have been covered after 65.
Wait for Lloyds reply ( They have 8 weeks to resolve) Then if they fob you off go to the FOS who though slow , will help.

Let us know if the policy excludes over 65 's at all.

I really want you to get justice for this.

Hi, pinknico, it is bad when older people are ripped off too. I want this one to win for BOTH loans and not just the one that they could not cancel. I think it was two loans that I asked about to Andy. Will have a look back over the posts....

So tomorrow is the day then. Lets hope you have some good news in the post today. Let us know what they say and definately call them tomorrow but be careful what you say in phone calls. Letters are better. They are trained at twisting things.
