    Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning everyone,
Can you please take a look at the following letter I am thinking of sending to HFC, they have already paid out on one claim which was sent the same day by recorded delivery to the same office, they were very prompt in replying to the first claim, but I've heard nothing about this one

    Thanks in advance

    Dear Sir or Madam,

    Re: Account number: XXXXXXXX

I wrote to you on the 6th November 2008 regarding the sale of PPI on the above numbered account, which was opened on 28th April 2001, and was active until 17th April 2003. Asking you to investigate the suitability of PPI, as I have 2 years death in service benefit, plus I also have 2 years paid sick leave benefit from my employer. Copies of original letter, pension statement and photocopy from my employee's handbook are again enclosed.

I am sending copies of all correspondence to the Financial Ombudsman Service, as the 8 week time period has elapsed

Well its D Day for Tesco PF. In their letter the 8 weeks are up today, but RBS say it is Friday as they did not receive my complaint until the 14th 0f Nov. I am a nervous wreck waiting for the post. Could someone also tell me why Picture could be in default.
Sorry to hear you are not well Marshallka hope you feel better soon

    Happy new year sparky...

Looks fine and I would imagine if they had any sense they will pay out on this one too as they have paid on the other. Why do these companies do this?? They are all sold the same way..

Thanks showergirl. I am well really just in a lot of pain with the shoulder thing and look a mess with the eye.. . What are you going to do if they have not replied by today?? Are you taking it to the Ombudsman anyway without their final.. you know you can now and I would certainly get the ball rolling in that way. Tesco seem to be making people wait for responses beyond 8 weeks and also others are doinf this too. I think companies like this should be reported to the FSA as it was them that made these rules.

I don't know what to do. I have the forms from the ombudsman ready to be signed as they have also written to Tesco on my behalf. I may wait until Wednesday as I have a day off then and give them a ring, if I do not get anywhere I will send them another letter giving them 14 days, but do you think it would be of benefit to give the FSA a ring

It would benefit cause if lots of people do it they will be investigated as to why they think they should have longer to get to the bottom of complaints than anyone else. It would not help your case personally but as a group this is when the companies start to change their acts.

Lets hope the post has some good news then!!

Hello showergirl, I am waiting for Picture to go in default so the FSCS can start looking at claims of mis selling PPI. This is the previous Picture not the current Picture:D
